  • Rebekah Vardy and her Leicester City striker husband Jamie (pictured top) were seen breaking down in tears as they paid their respects to the club's late owner at a memorial today. Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha was among five people killed when his helicopter crashed shortly after taking off from the King Power Stadium on Saturday evening. The football club opened a book of condolence at the stadium this morning and there has been a steady stream of supporters arriving since the early hours. Supporters continue to lay their tributes, including flowers, scarves and shirts to the ever-growing shrine which now extends down one side of the stadium (pictured bottom). A group of Buddhist monks attended the football stadium this afternoon and led a service.

He gave millions to the hospital and university. He didn't just want the club to thrive. He wanted all of Leicester to thrive. By all accounts, he was incredibly generous, not only with his money but also with his time. May he and the other four people rest in peace.

Build the bloke a statue. He brought a city and the football world together with what he done he will go down in folklore as the man that achieved so much against all odds he will be remembered for yrs to come so give him a place outside the ground for future generations to admire

From a Newcastle fan - my deepest sympathy's go out to all affected by this. To have a Chairman/owner with so much compassion for the club, city & it's people - a terrible loss. Seems like he was a lovely man.

From a Roma fan and supporter, from Italy, from Rome (hometown of Mister Claudio Ranieri, great man and trainer), all my deepest sympathy and affection for the President, for the other four people who were with him, for their families, for the whole city of Leicester, for the magic Team. Your wonderful legend will never end. You are not alone.

They should have given a picture there of all the 5 people who died and not one with only the owner!! So my condolences go out to all the people who died there! Very sad and tragic!

Football is something that we tend to not appreciate in the moment. We tend to quickly forget its miracles ..... This is a sad reminder of what this football club achieved

Leicester city title is one of the most impressive sport performances I've ever seen. This kind of "miracle" makes me love football and vichai was of course a major contributor to Leicester city success. RIP legend! (From Brussels Belgium).

Seven years ago, Jamie Vardy played in the Fifth Division of England and worked in a factory. Today he is celebrating his 32nd birthday as Premier League champion, a benchmark for a team from the top English circuit, a World Cup player with the England National Team and with the experience of having played in the UEFA Champions League. From nothing, to the elite. FILM HISTORY.
