This video about root of attachment needs to be seen every single day and remembered to quieten the agitated mind. Its truth needs to be absorbed completely.

Please upload the full episodes of swami ji. These bits dont make sense to the "layman". It will help best with understanding to have each full discourse. And no, i dont want that of others in the mission. When the Master has moved on then we get diluted versions of Him. I want the whole and full of Him.

But then, to go back to his initial assertion-what purpose would one have in life after detaching?

life has no purpose . life means to live with full awakness n consciousness .

It's not about feeling attached being the right way or feeling detached.
The Swami wants you to know and realise that these attachments are so strong in you, that you are desperate to be in its company. These attachments which are supposed to empower you, (such as money, job, family, etc etc,) are actually binding you down. It's not giving you that empowerment and instead its holding you back. Without these attachments, you feel you are miserable.
That's what is to be known and overcome. That's true freedom.
With attachments, you are happy and pleased.
Without attachments, you are still happy and pleased.
      That's the goal.

Spend time alone. Without family, without friends, without anyone. Just alone. More importantly, without mobile or internet.
When you stop feeding fresh info into your mind for some time, the already existing info in your mind starts to come out. You'll know it by yourself. Go on a long trip, ALONE. Then you'll know what all you are attached to.
