  • Full hard drives on a Mac are a constant struggle so being a music producer means cleaning up your folders regularly!
    In this video Adam D’Agostino explains how to move UJAM plug-in content to an external drive - we recommend using an SSD to prevent dropouts. As the main content of our plug-ins (e.g. samples) comes in a .blob file (“binary large object”) you’ll need to move this file only.
    Adam shows you where to find the .blob file on macOS and helps you avoid any pitfalls in the process!

    It would be soooo good to See such possibilities and hints from other developers!
    That‘s one of the reasons, why I support U(JAM) - buying their plugins ❤

      Thanks for that hint - otherwise it could have been, that my virtual guitarists rested in the (win)dose (that I also use - but I love the noiseless MacBook Air - stuck with entry ssd but maxedout ram

    Moved from windows to Mac, now have to redownload the entire installer with data but can you pl create just the lite installer who already have the blob file on windows, so now they can move to Mac and just install the lite installer and then point to the already present blob file

    So after files are all moved do you just delete the files from your internal hard drive?

      Did you figure this out yet?

    • @ujamInstruments
      @ujamInstruments  Před rokem +1

      Once the blob files have been relocated to an external drive and the plugin is running, you can go ahead and delete the blob files in the default location on your internal drive, yes.
