Here is the procedure that I use for masking and painting EPO foam models. Please note, this will only work for EPO foam. Do not attempt this with EPS or EPP.

Thanks, that was helpful. But what if you want to paint bare EPO foam? There is an issue with paint sticking to it. In your case you are painting over the existing paint so you have no issues. But how to go about painting over bare EPO foam?

I tried this method using regular masking paper and I was amazed ! it works great and leaves you with a sharp clean line.

What I do is sand it gently with 150 and prime it. Will look horrible at first but trust the process. Then wet sand smooth, and paint
