IN LOVING MEMORY ~ Coretta Scott King Apr 27, 1927 - Jan 30, 2006 Thank You, Mrs. King; for EVERY SINGLE MOMENT! Courage, Step, Struggle, Fight, Strength. Truly Grateful.
Because you have to be an iconic actress to get roles like those and that she is. Also, she played Katherine Jackson in The Jacksons' American Dream movie.
wonderful and very nicely done- the children and the King family are all so beautiful. Thank you God everyday for Dr. King and his Family to this very day !!
I love you Coretta because you exemplified what the Bible says of a virtuous woman. She is more precious than rubies, diamonds and pearls. I look forward to meeting you and your family in heaven.
I am going to law school I just started listening to dr Martin Luther king jr. speech and Coretta Scott king speech listening to this great awesome powerful woman and man is encouraging me to be the best I can be .it encouraging me to move on and be obedient to God and change my career to law I have use a lawyer before it was was for a good cause. So listen to Martin Luther king jr. And believe that love is the key.
I miss her so much. Her speeches, interviews, teachings made me a better person. She was a warrior for defending not just black people, or racism but for every group. I thank her so much for this, hers and MLK legacy lives on...
Doing Gods work a beautiful righteous woman and peaceful like her husband. If more people of this world were like this maybe wed get something done. She knew its part of Gods plan. You don't always have Alot of fans but in Gods eyes he's your biggest fan. God Bless Coretta Scott King.
I already told you we don't know what was going on personally with Martin during these times and I'm sure there's been a lot of times he's had to vent out to Coretta. She stood with Martin and believed in what he was doing. There are a lot of so-called wives that don't believe in or support their husbands and she did.
My teacher Barry Hoonan, is having the class do an essay on MLK jr. I found this video and it had a lot of information. Soooo thank you hannahkateee! :)
And another damn thing take a look back at the photos throughout the Civil Rights movement...yeah check it out and you'll find plenty of picture with her stand and walking beside Martin. And you say she did do anything for civil rights. She lived through that shit!!!
What an elegant, eloquent person. Mrs. King was a trained musician - voice and violin - from the New England Conservatory. Is there any footage of her singing?
@Beyoncefan1000 I agree! Cicely Tyson did an excellent job playing Mrs. King in the movie, "King" but Phylicia Rashad would do an excellent job as well.
I agree w/ Beyoncefan1000 about if there is ever a movie about Mrs.King, Actress Phylicia Rashad should portray her.. what a classy lady. both of them.
@lenaloo66 shes a widowed lady whose husband saved America . from future referance. she stayed with him through thick and thin . she loved him and her heart was torn apart when her husband was assianated. She was a strong women . she suffered a stroke and DIED! have you no shame ?
Lord I happy 4 2 have seen 🙏 in my Life time 2 have at the Lincoln memorial 🙌 2nd March in Washington from Lynchburg Va on a Bus. 2 b within The place where Mrs King Her Oldest Son and so many people who was there. I Thank GOD for Her DR King and God 4 The way that I am and how I am able 2 now KNOW HOW TO STAND UP TO ANY KIND OF MEAN PERSON AND 🙏 THAT GOD IS
Like Coretta said herself, the people that hate gays or are against equal rights for LGBT are 'mis informed' Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere' She was a warrior for any group or person who faced prejudice and injustice. I will forever be thankful to Coretta for fighting for what is right. For fighting against racism, for fighting for equal gender rights, gay rights, animal rights. RIP Coretta, and thankyou x
she never said she was necessarily pro homosexuality. what she supported is people's right to not have people do hateful acts against them no matter who they were or what they did.
God teaches love and that we should love individuals as they are. Im really not in the mood to go and grab my Bible to start quoting scriptures, but what I will say is that in my life, I have seen more gays and lesbians display a far more amount of love than most heterosexuals! There is so much hate in our world today. What is so wrong with others displaying their affection they way they want to?
Shame on you for saying such a thing like that. She didn't do shit for civil rights? Yeah right, she gave her husband, she gave away time her and Martin could've spent together, she gave away most of her marriage because I'm sure he was always working, she gave him a warm, loving home to come to from a long day of work, she took care of his children. That woman gave up a lot and how dare you say something stupid like that. And if she did spend money like royalty...Hell she deserved it.
I never thought of this as a racist thing. I don't waste my time with that type of mess because I'm not a messy person. I just wanted to know why you would say a thing like that about this man's wife. A veyr great woman and even if she were charging people to use his speech that's called copyright. And don't forget that this woman as also given back to the world. And she should not be disrespected like that. Hell, the woman is dead! Let her rest in peace without the B.S.
She certainly was a follower of the teachings of the Bible, but she was able to accept change in her life and not be so closed minded to think that we should live in a world where everything remains the same...Oh what a boring world we would live in if there were no change!
These are the people that God put in spots to make a change, and and the end of time Christ Jesus will give to us all a reward, black ,white pink, blue rich, Democrats, Republicans, liberal, Americans and African, European, etc etc etc,(just do not live your life for you but for others...
We have nothing in common except our differences unless we're good people, but that's subjective, ain't it now? [ ] Agree. [disagree?] She's a great lady. And before a great lady can be free, she has to be - or needs at least one somewhere in the world - (another) great lady! It works in reverse, too. Nowadays - it's tragic - the media corporation executives think that (and it could well be true) vigilantes in an actual. new. religion, claiming to justify the accusation/judgement PART!!? of religion? It is sickening, and it's important that everyone! speak out and tell the media what cowards they are to divide this nation as THAT obsession of finding SAFE value! from a one using beemobiles and timed chunks of insane ambition - they get beserk when the persecutors think they're justified as out of control in ruining society - it's not ladylike to say "grow up".
This woman was the EPITOME of class.
