- In eastern Ukraine, Russia continues its push to control the entire Donbas region. The strategic towns of Sloviansk, Kramatorsk and Bakhmut have all seen intense bombardment in recent days, leaving Ukrainian forces to shore up their lines of defence. Our reporters Luke Shrago, Taline Oundjian and Achraf Abid spent the night with some of those forces near the front, offering a glimpse into the life of a typical Ukrainian soldier at war.

We're honored, that many of these incredibly brave soldiers are wearing polish markings on their uniforms. It only shows, that we need to do more to help them. They're fighting for our freedom too!

Some incorrect info here, that BTR is not a BTR-80 made in the 80's... it looks like a modern Ukrainian domestically produced BTR-4, which was first introduced in 2014.
BTR-3, wich basicaly is BTR-80..
Also, he claimed that phosphorous, cluster bombs, and anti-personnel mines are "banned". None of which is true.
@@haydengalloway5177 Actually, some countries may ban them individually and although they may not be specifically banned, they are as far as I'm aware, still regulated by other conventions that place limits on their use.

@@Ukraineaissance2014 Thats not true at all. The US used both land mines and cluster bombs in Afghanistan last year. The US has not signed the international treaties banning them. Neither has Russia.

Starshina means master sergeant or chief warrant officer of a company, not corporal. In the Bulgarian army, the starshina is habitually called the mother of the company, it's the company master sergeant.

Team work is critical to the extreme for all there after those men all became relegated to help to defend on the front lines of a war. No time to question anyone's authority there on the front lines about how to get things done next. Thankfully we human beings there too are wise enough to discern the difference between real authority and only power. Kind of like when all of a sudden for no apparent rhyme or reason becoming lost in space with only the 3 of you a team present onboard to do the hands on work in the space craft order to make sure everyone there gets home.

Looks like a BTR-4 not a BTR-80.
Dig deeper with wider trenches and bunkers . This is WW1 style warfare. The Germans were outnumbered in the later stages of the war but their trench fortifications were seriously well constructed and they managed to hold off large assaults.

@@miikapekk5155 you were implying that with your german treches that managed to hold. These treches will not hold like that with modern artillery. Aside from that they do give a manner of cover for those troops. and they will slow the russians somewhat.
Trenches now are basically used as recon, very lightly manned and to tell you when the enemy are coming, and to rest in. Trenches were no longer reliably defendable in 1918, you wouldnt trust them 100 years later. Also, what happened to the germans in the end?

No surprise. The UK sent more than weapons systems = they sent uniforms to include things like helmets, body armor, and boots etc..
