Finally something good to watch at 10:00pm
Well I wouldn’t call it good. But better than a kick in the head
😊Going to look Really Nice, thanks for sharing your experience.
That's really cool. I've always wondered how that was done. Very interesting educational video.
Who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks.
Thanks for watching! Us old dogs ain’t so bad
You are an all-around handy feller. Great job. A lot accomplished with those hot dog fingers. Thanks for taking the time to make the video, you are fast becoming my favorite CZcamsr.
Thanks 👍. That means a lot
@@TheoldironworkshopYes Mr. Anderson . You are an "All Around Handy Fellow" 🤭👍
Thanks for another upholstery video. My wife years ago did my upholstery work. she is 14 years older than me but unfortunately she is in early stage of dementia and doesn't remember anything about upholstery work. she barely remembers working at the shoe manufacture but doesn't remember much else about it. Me, i really didn't pay attention when she did panels for me so seeing this helps me wrap my brain around it.
More exciting than any thriller. Can hardly wait to see this beauty on the road.
Wow this went way beyond what I can do. I initially did grey vinyl on Edna's door cards which started coming off after a year. So I took them to an upholstery shop to have them redone in plad with pockets to put my sunglasses
If you can dream it You can do it.
Your work is absolutely stellar and highly detailed. Love this CZcams channel.
That looks amazing! I appreciate you sharing the "How To" stuff! Makes me think I can "Screw up and learn"!
Anyone can do it.
Mr. B. Here ! 🍩☕️👀😎👍. Very good advice, love the trim work , ☕️👀😎👍. !
Good Job Mr. Anderson. You make it look easy. Fun editing too. Thanks to Laura for all the work she puts in too. Cheers Buddy ! 🍺🤛😎👍
Thanks 👍
mate .. your garage is a genuine one stop shop.
this channel should have 10x the subs - I’ll take learning this over some flogs ‘will it start’ video anyday.
great job by the bride and yourself .. as always take care and cheers from Australia🍻🤘
Thank you as always
One good idea I learned recently was to use a sheet of clear plastic. You can get a plastic table cloth at the dollar store. Use it as your template to mark all the holes and then transfer it to whatever material you are going to use
That is a great idea.
Very impressive!! Excellent knowledge for future projects!!!!
Man, I had to chuckle big-time when I saw that '40 pickup pulling outta the trailer! Another amazing shocker. As much as I love the coupes, the pickup is perhaps a better choice in my opinion. And that engine would look so good in Mabel, but with all the work with the LS up to now, well... So the upholstery is gonna look reeeaal nice. With Mabel being a 'not-often-seen' '50, it's just gonna be killer. I also like the steelies you picked out, much better than a mag-style wheel for the car. This 'adventure' is so much fun to watch, thank you!
Thank you. Yeah trucks have a whole different vibe. This project is starting to come together.
Very nice work... We need to get u over the 20K mark...
I upholstered furniture for 10 years. You do amazing work.
Thank you. Upholstery is fun. We do a few different projects here and there.
Good work ....... interesting to see a guy mend straight..... :)
7th grade sewing class pays of now and then
you made simple work of what is normally a very complex task...I might use this process next time. Christmas tree clips work a treat btw
I’ve used them before. But seem to be one use only
I'd never thought of doing my panels in layers like that. I really like how clean the lines turn out that way. This episode will go in my "how to" folder for future build reference. The panels in my 64 hearse are toasted.
It was new to me as well. I really like the results
I've never put together an interior from scratch but I dig the advice that you can get alot done without commercial machines.
Honestly. You can do a lot with a little if you just put a little extra thought into it. That’s why this platform is so amazing. It’s just full of average blokes doing stuff.
@@Theoldironworkshop Exactly! I always felt bad seeing my Dad get mad while watching Old Yankee Workshop on tv make an amazing side table with his $50k of production level shop tools...
Love to see what you and your wife do to complete the door panels. Fantastic! Watching movies, I'm interested in set design to set the proper mood for scenes being shot. Texture, color, depth (I think). Your attention to detail, well, fascinates me. Your loving subscriber, James.
Thank you very much. Filming something is actually pretty difficult to pull off on your own. I’m definitely winging it.
I’m totally impressed
Endless talents
I discovered your channel by chance. Never have restored a car and probably never will but your videos are interesting and educational.Your dry wit is very much appreciated.Really enjoy the process of restoration. What kid did not at one time think about how cool it would be to drive a hearse?
Welcome aboard! And thank you.
Lowrider tuck & roll have a couple miles of it in my 78 fleetwood lowrider. Looks good.
Very nice way to dress up a simple door panel, waiting to see the headliner and rear panels going in after the floor fab work!
Yeah, I think shits are happening. A little bit faster now.
You are able to do anything about your cars... Great job!!
Nailed it.😊
Sharp!
Just for your info those clips originally fitted in a hole in the rear of panel in-between the covering and wood this Llowed for slight adjustment when you put the panel on
They did not clip on the edge so as not to spoil aesthetics this actually makes your panel short in lengths an widths sorry I have had experience in auto upholstery by the way absolutely love this build
Bill Qld Australia 🇦🇺 1954 International sidestep kustom Pickup
Thank you. I didn’t have anything to start with, so it’s bit of a guess. Although I would rather it be short than long. Trying to shorten it afterwards is not fun. I will probably do cording around it for a finished look.
Nice job, learn something new. Thanks
Glad it was helpful!
You're perfect for the hearse. Nice job.
Thanks again!
Very Nice Work Looks Great
Thank you! Cheers!

Yeah. Me too. Thanks
Технология изготовления дверных карт которую вы показали простая,но требует большого внимания, терпения и умения.Если приложить к этому всё что уже было сделано по этой машине,то объём необходимых знаний и навыков у вас просто огромный!Я опять в восхищении.Спасибо!
Thank you.
I used a hot glue gun to put my panels together.. I find the hot glue is stronger then the white wood glue .. good luck they look great ..
I was thinking of that as well. Might do the rest that way.
Respect, I couldn't do any of that, which is true for most of what you do, but this is on another level.
Thank you
Those type of clips when to a hole on rear of panel it allowed for adjusment
You’re definitely a jack of all trades
Master of none. Being a cheap a$$ pays off I guess.
Nice work like always, thanks
Thanks again!
Looks awesome man
Cool door panel
Great video. Intricate design, you guys are very entertaining !

Perfect!
Nice way of doing that.

If I survive the hurricane. We’re in Jamaica this week
Thanks for the great tips.
No problem!
Excellent ........
Many many thanks
Very nice.
Thank you
nice
Nice. I thought you would use plywood. Thanks.
++++++++++++++Nice ! ! !
Just use a zipper foot or there is a cording foot for this machine
Hmm I’ll have to look into it
Will u be doing a 2" roof chop on the hearse? Dont think ive seen a chopped hearse before
They end up looking like hotdogs. Because the car is so long.
hello, not a criticism you do a wonderful job, but I don't know if you saw that the velvet has one direction, and it does not seem to have been put in the same direction on your test panel.
Thank you again for all your work, and that of filming everything which is not easy either.
Shhh. Laura didn’t see that yet. She’s going to have to fix it. I only noticed it when I was editing.
hi…tell Laura she looks good with only the t-shirt,,,
She says thanks
🥸👍👍👍👍👍👍
Skill but no sense of style.
Totally
Looking awesome
