I love how she reacted when he started folding the rulebook at 2:21
What sort of a savage folds the instructions?
She is one of the good ones
I love Santorini. I grew up on chess (and later, Team Chess), and Santorini has all of the best aspects of chess and more, without any of the bad. Plus, it's got my favorite mechanism -- variable player powers. And it even has a built-in way to add handicaps for anyone who needs one (in the way of hero powers).
that was a genuine awesome first win, Becca is awesome.
3:25 I love that "Get out of town!"
13:50 a reference I too have stuck in my brain.
Ren & Stimpy
i love Santorini. The gods powers can really change up the game.
You should go to Santorini to see the island for sure! It's beautiful!
Santorini one of my faves.. 👌🏼
Becca is the goddess of board games ❤
She really is.
More Becca and Ivan please!
Ivan's voice is sultry af. 😈
Ivan: I HAVE THE POWER TO BUILD A BLOCK THEN ANOTHER BLOCK ON TOP OF IT ON THE SAME TURN!
Becca: Cool thanks, gg.
I don't practice Santorini, I ain't got no crytsal ball
I hate this joke in the best way.
Is that sublime reference?
@@WojoO Pretty sure it's a refference to Santeria.
a trick: watch movies at Flixzone. Been using it for watching loads of movies lately.
@Boone Jalen definitely, I have been watching on Flixzone for since december myself :D
Ha, I know that feel @ 2:20
Brandon Graham I cringed and got worried the same time that Becca did 😬
Sooooo cute XD
Before the third round with Atlas, why didn't they utilise the domes at all?
My favorite 2 people on G&S right here!!
Thanks very much for this
"I've got you ATLAS!" I like puns
Perfect video for learning. Love your channel just found it from looking up Santorini. On a side note... I build awesome gaming tables :)
More Ivan!
Why has no one mentioned the look at 16:45 😄search "dome" on urban dictionary
I’m a simple man. I hear a Ren and Stimpy joke and I click “like.”
Why are there 18 blue domes for only 14 3rd floors though? I don't get it.
"No one likes to be domed" 😈 *CUT*
More Becca Ivan!
Always go for the corner in tic-tac-toe.
Love this game. Love the quick three play video too. Hope to see you guys at Gen Con!
1:20 the cutest moment in the history of youtube.
Why couldn't Ivan move the piece on the left (my left) side of the board and leave the one on the right and because that was next to the building that was three high dome it stopping Becca?
IT WOULD BE COOL TO SEE IVAN DM A DND CAMPAIGN HERE ON GEEK AND SUNDRY. WOULD ALSO BE COOL IF BECCA WAS ONE OF THE PLAYERS. IT WILL BE SUCCESSFUL IF YOU ALSO HAVE XANDER WAS ONE OF THE OTHER PLAYERS. AMY VORPAHL TOO.
i remember having the exact haircut as the guy, iirc it was around that time too
respect
@8:11 isnt the hermes ability IN A STRAIGHT LINE! ??? He diagonaled!
No such restriction mentioned in the Hermes ability. Just zip around with both your guys as you will as long as they don't change levels.

In the last game he was adjacent to the building that she got on top of and won. Why didn't he just put a dome down?
A little late reply, but after he moved, his character wouldn't be adjacent to that tower anymore
On first game, As displayed 4:15, his best option would be to move his worker to the center and build a dome. The best counter move against that would be to move her worker up to the second level and build where she was previously to prevent him from following. But if she were to build somewhere else, he could have followed, moving up, then placing a dome on the other third level. Thus continuing the game.
Second game. Her building the first level three was her downfall. As displayed 9:55, her best option would be to move her worker at a diagonal and build a level three in the corner. Because if he were to choose to move anywhere else then the winning move, she would be able to win on her next turn.
On the final game. The Pan and Atlas match up brings out a lot of strategy. She had the advantage when preventing him from moving up, if he were to leave one of his workers at level one then use his other worker to support in construction, he could have gained a more critical advantage, causing her to use more domes.
Nice Ren and Stimpy reference Ivan.
Is Ivan slowly abandoning his iconic "brohawk"? I'm not sure, if I approve. B^)
IVAN!!!
10:04 Seems to me like Becca should have made this move, then used her other worker to dome the three storey tower. Then she would have been able to access the only level 3 Ivan could have built, as well as blocking him from getting to (or doming) the level 3 she could build in the corner on the following turn. Becca could then win in either 1 or 2 turns, whereas it'd take Ivan much longer.
Or.. does the worker who moves have to be the one who builds during that turn?
The worker that moves is the worker that builds. Which is why its unfortunate that Becca moved her other piece into the center of those towers, because she could only move away.
That turn before she basically gave the game away :P
@@OptimisticMoose Ahh, that is a pity. Having never played this, getting my head around the strategy is quite difficult, but if only one worker can act per turn (abilities aside) then that simplifies things quite a lot.
Does the game not come with a sea piece that goes under the island
not in some editions afaik
I don’t understand this game. If the objective is to reach the top of a structure, what do you need the domes for?
The domes are to block your opponent from reaching the top, but it means you forfeit that space as well
You should play Inis sometime
top quality
Is the board naturally elevated ? If not, what do you use?
Snyggrumpa29 w The original version came with a plastic ‘island’ base that elevated the game. I believe the current printing by spin master also includes the island base but that’s not the version I have so maybe someone else can confirm.
Wedding rings are carried on the left ring finger right? So does that mean Becca is left handed ?
was that reference from Mr. Horse?
I bought this game based on all the hype thinking it would be a lot of fun. I don’t remember which god card it was, but it basically said if you move a worker from the second level to the ground, you win the game (or something to that general effect.) They did it on their first turn and the game lasted all of ten seconds, unless we weren’t playing it right. That was about two years ago, and we haven’t revisited it since.
You miss a lot a rule in this video..
17:37 she’s going to sit on his lonely tower lol
becca is the kind girl you take home to meet your mum
she couldn't build the dome there? do you need to be on level 2 to build domes?
ilanf2 I’m not sure which turn of the game you are referring to but in general placing a dome is like any other general ‘build action’ where you can build the next level up on a square/structure that is adjacent (one of the surrounding 8 squares) to your worker that moved - no matter what level your worker is on.
God powers can switch things up but I don’t recall one limiting your ability to place domes, only a few enhancing. (Ex. Atlas in the last game could build domes on any level instead of just on top of 3 level buildings)
I'm a dome, and you've been DOMED!
Watch this at 0.25 speed and they look so drunk..
2.0 for Ivan coke laugh
0.5 is fine as well
Why does the Greek god have an English accent?
Saw this in the store. Thought it might be like Cathedral. Glad I didn't buy it. Thanks!
I can’t want to play the game!
These people need to calm down.
Cuty & Cringy
Why even do this game? It's short!
Answer in the lower left hand corner as the video begins - they got paid. Most, if not all, GtG choices are paid. I'm not saying that is a bad thing - in American Capitalism, Bills Pay You! and all that - but it would be nice to see them be more selective with their choices here.
I play games as a hobby, but my wife does not. I can convince her to play several rounds of a short game much easier than I can to play a single game of a long game.
This isn't tabletop
Boggles my mind how this game is rated so high on BGG. It fine but not top 100 quality.
