    I know its off topic but i'd be interested in what you'd have to say about work boots. It's just as important as any tool.

    • @MORGANSMaintenance
      @MORGANSMaintenance  Před měsícem +1

      I wear different types of shoes all the time. I wear slip on stuff for residential typically since I usually change at the door. Only time I wear “work boots” are in my commercial jobsites or factories.
      I will keep the idea in mind though, good suggestion 👍

      Look into Jim Green, their prices are really good for what you're getting and the markup for custom work is very fair too.

    I picked up the $40 Japanese version based on your videos. I don’t even notice the play in the bit holder when I’m using it. Well worth the $40. It’s one of my favorite tools. 👍

      @MORGANSMaintenance I only knew about it because of yours and bzeug’s videos. Other than buying Makita’s A-44672 bit piece, you have the best/quickest/simplest solution. Bzeug completely disassembled and modified his, and still didn’t fix the play/wobble.

    I may have to put this on my list to get. I’ve always thought of electric drivers as kind of gimmicky but how do you know until you give it a fair shot. The usb-c really makes me like it even more. I won’t buy anything anymore that uses the old mini or micro usb as almost all my devices take type c. Thanks for the video!

      I was the same way. I wasn’t sure how much I would use it.
      I like this one because it still feels like.. and can be used as a regular screwdriver.

    I finally picked one up not sure what took me so long I guess I thought it would be underpowered but I was surprised it has more than enough power for what I do and is a lot quieter then the M12 impacts I normally use. Thanks Joey I’ll try and get with program faster !

      If it didn’t feel like a normal screwdriver, I don’t think I’d use it as often. That’s the main thing I like about it.

    I have my two knockoffs (for different bags), so I don't need another. I've bought some more bits though. The magnet in the bit-holder grabs the bit, but not a screw. If I put a bit-magnet on a longer bit, that will hold screws.

    I use the Dewalt 8v gyro but I like the size of the Vessel. After seeing the demo I will stick with the Dewalt. Its a bit faster and it has a clutch. It just takes a little more room in the bag. Thx for the demo.

    • @MORGANSMaintenance
      @MORGANSMaintenance  Před měsícem

      The clutch would be nice, but you don’t really need one with this one at the speed it goes. I can see you needing it on an 8v 👍

      That 8v has some power for sure. I carry one around for when the vessel won't cut it. It's funny when I see a dewalt 8v industrial comerical electrician comes to mind since they tend to use them alot

    Thank you for showing us differences that really matter when buying this kind of tool.
    That play is really interesting. Why didn't they make the collet/chuck that would fit the US bits better?
    And that price difference is even more interesting. Even with shipping from Japan, it's still cheaper than buying US version.

    • @MORGANSMaintenance
      @MORGANSMaintenance  Před měsícem

      I know.. I assumed that was the whole purpose for making this version. Seems like it would fit better. Better off buying the Japan Version in my opinion, then it will fit multiple bits with the same play at least. 🤷‍♂️

    This is embarrassing. I have the Japan version and didn't realize that light was a speed button. lol I have only used it a couple of times so it must have been on low. I just received the Makita impact stick driver from Japan. Bzeug showed them on his channel. I really like it. He made a video about not being sure the Japanese charger would be OK for the U.S. and the comment section told him it's fine so that's why I bought it. So far really happy with and I also like the Vessel. I bought all JIS bits for it also. I have the Makita bit adapter #A-44672 It takes the slop out of the chucks if you want to use the other bits. Your spacer might even be better.

    • @MORGANSMaintenance
      @MORGANSMaintenance  Před měsícem

      I saw where they have an adapter. I have plenty of bits laying around that it was easy enough (and free) to make one.
      Mine pretty much just stays on the solid light. It’s easier to understand what the lights mean on the US packaging at least 😂 if that’s worth $40 more

    • @MattHmm-rq6dn
      @MattHmm-rq6dn Před měsícem +1

      Yeah I learned that late in the game 😂… I’m too cheap and had to make one. My guess is that adapter will make the bit not fit in the US version… but that’s just a guess. I think it will need to be a smidge smaller.

    I'v got a regular Vessel but don't like the low speed, I use a Makita TDO22DSE, 7.2 foldable impact driver especially for lock sets, pricey at $188+ but now is $259+ (Amazon) also have the same but with clutch for more delicate work. A lot lighter than my M12 Surge.

    • @MORGANSMaintenance
      @MORGANSMaintenance  Před měsícem

      I’ve seen a few videos on those, and the Dewalt Gyroscope is another I had looked at. I mostly like the Vessel because it’s like using a regular screwdriver. If it’s much bigger, I would probably just use my Installation Driver or Surge.

    I use 2 of thr Japanese versions myself and never was left with wanting a 9mm chuck. I use the Japanese double sided bits a ton they are made well fit well no complaints. The bit that comes with the special edition color ones or even anex ratcheting screwdriver replacement bits are perfect for outlets and switches ph2/sl6. If you want to use your Japanese bits in usa chucks wera rapidadptor or engineer dr-22. I'm glad you tried this before me I don't think the us model is for me and even at that mine live with thr Japanese bits in it anyways. For thoes who want a local bit that fits in the Japanese check dewalt has a double ended bit sl/ph that is sold at lowes but won't fit in a US impact. Thanks for saving me from a return.

    Never really have a need for this style of electric screwdrivers. Availability of Vessel ones is not very good in the UK. If I go Amazon, they offer the US import.

    • @MattHmm-rq6dn
      @MattHmm-rq6dn Před měsícem

      Most of us are too lazy to spin a screwdriver these really do help us save our wrists. Moat of what people do with these are outlet switches and assembly of very low torque things. It's too bad it doesn't work out for you since it's about the smallest powered driver you can get that's usable manually.

    • @MattHmm-rq6dn
      @MattHmm-rq6dn Před měsícem

      I would equate these to the bosh go in popularity in the uk. Every video I see seems to have thoes I'm a bag or pouch. I have a union electrician tell me the other day his company ordered a 50 pack of these vessels talk about a odd thing for the accountants to see.
