Demonstration of Haptick, a 6DOF Input Device

  • This is the first prototype of Haptick, a 6DOF force/torque sensor I'm building to use as an input device. It's a bit like a SpaceMouse, but it operates using different principles.

    Well done, awesome work. I would never have thought of using SMD resistors as a strain gauge ! The final result is impressive !

    This is great, firs of all for actually being 6DOF unlike most of the DIY nonsense out there, secondly for the clever idea of PCB strain gauges.

      Thanks! I've had a read a bit more about your project, SpaceFox. Super cool! It's good to see a bunch of different hackers all trying different ways to get a 6DOF mouse working.

    This makes me excited, Ive been looking for something like this. If you make a grip for it, it would great in Star Citizen for 6dof movement for strafing.

      they already make the spacemouse which is what I use personally in SC, this looks really cool too though
