well she kind of HAS to do it. It’s either that or constant finger pricking which is honestly too much work and annoys me personally because I tend to have blue fingers. You just kind of get used to the pain.
not just her… all of us in the community. i was diagnosed as a baby ( not even 1 ) imagine how hard it was for my parents to look at their sweet ( first kid ) in the eye and stick a needle in the 3+ times a day. it’s like they were hurting me for no reason but they were just trying to help me survive
@@urf4vbrynno need to self praise.. they weren't hurting you for no reason and that's what makes it easier, they were being a parent and keeping their kid healthy.

@@-bitzy- sorry for taking a while to respond. But, how the sensor works is that it expires every 10 days and will stop reading your blood sugar. :) feel free to ask me anymore questions I’ve had diabetes since I was five so I know a lot about all the stuff ! :D
@@Hi_Zie ohh thank you so so much! i really appreciate it! that makes sense! can the it get wet? does it affect any of your daily activities? thanks again!
@@-bitzy- 1. Yes it can get wet I actually went to the beach today but when it gets wet it’s more likely to fall off easier then normal because the sticky stuff gets damaged/damp. 2. It does slightly effect your activity’s due to having to check your blood sugar before exercising/eating but it doesn’t keep you from doing things. Actually the only other thing that it effects is having to make sure you don’t lay on it or accidentally rip it off because that can effect the way it is tracking your blood sugar
I didn’t say this but as you can see in the video that gray-ish thing is called a transmitter and it has to be changed about every 3 months it’s the part that sends the information to your device and processes the blood sugar levels
An idea for pain I have done for years is ordering a numbing pain and applying 1 hour before insertion. It helps a world amount and I barely feel it. It’s an idea my family was told when I first started Dexcom.

OMG! I am a Type One too! I always watch your vids and they give me such motivation! I never knew you hate T1D! That makes me look up to you even more! I would LOVE if you saw this!
hey alica as someone who still uses the boring clear stickers from dexcom, where do you buy your dexcom stickers from? love your vids they're so fun to watch ❤
T1d here, currently using the libre at the moment, I should be changing to dexcom soon maybe. I guess I just have to wait for what the diabetes team says.. I literally almost died a month ago from dka (diabetic ketoacidosis) my BGL was really high as well as my ketones. Diabetes is honestly the worst. Especially the condition I was in when I got to the hospital (I was in the hospital for a whole week). The night I arrived they put me on drips right away after taking blood from me. I was so very sick that I was just out of it but can still remember all the trauma I went through. I was put on 4 or 5 drips all at once the night I came in. Though I have to live with this horrible disease for the rest of my life, I am very thankful to still be alive
I hate how being diabetic is so expensive, i don’t have diabetes but I have really bad blood sugar jumps sometimes. I really wish that it was less expensive to get the basic care you need to live >:(
Is the purple thing nessecary? Or just for decoration cuz I have seen some wig designs on them in srry if this is rude I am just curious! And if it is rude it's ok you don't have to answer! Also you look beautiful ❤

Ah a pain I am far to familiar with. And the ow ow ow is so real lol I do it all the time lol
Why are you so gorgeous😍
Has the Dexcom G7 been approved where you live yet I live in Canada and I think it was approved last month or a little earlier.
My dexcoms usually never hurt, but sometimes I hit a vein and it hurts like crazy
Sorry, I have a question. Do you change your dexcom every day or once a week?
They must cost alot
I’m really curious, do you always have to put it in the same place? (No hate) ❤
What do you for for a pump cause I never see you do pump changes
I just wanted to ask when you put the Dexcom then does it feel like a needle or does it feel different just wondering XX❤

Hi I have t1d too and is it that sore
You Have Diabetes?
What's it plz tell
OMG I have diabetes too!!
I Love your stile💜🩷
What is dexcom
8/10 for pain? I hope that's not how it normally is. If so, definitely talk to your endo about alternate sites!
But if you rub it really fast with the alcohol swab, it won’t hurt
Para que sirve eso
Im 15 and had to do thta everyday
its hurts on the arm as i have type 1 and i have pain on right arm when i put a new sensor one
