Wow. This looks like a movie from the 80's. And i mean that in the best possible way. All the luck for your short film!
thats exactly why i like it cause it is like an 80s movie
What are you talking about? It looks like a digital camera.
Film is film, there's nothing close to it. It just warms my heart. Looks amazing, thanks for the upload!
"it just warms my heart"
How does 16mm look better than literally any other film stock? I swear every memory I have in my head looks like it was shot in 16mm.
Now that we have the best quality possible in our hands we miss something that can't catch, atmosphere, the feeling of being there, cuz our memory or even our eyes don't see in 4k. Amazing. We need the film culture to get stronger! Great work!
Beautifully shot, and man those colors and grain look fantastic
Video can never do this. Off the bat this felt real!
I love this... no stylized LUT... ny hyper color like I'm watching a movie while wearing Ray bands. Just the simple beauty of celluloid
Beautiful footage. This reminds me of why I love the look of film.
Don't get me wrong, digital cinematography is great and has come a long way over the past 20 years. But something about film is just so... warm and nostalgic.
So beautiful... A real movie.
The beauty of it brings tears to my eyes.
I dig it, it looks damn-near like how Richard Linklater would shoot his films, especially the films very early on in his career.
Everything looks more organic and live on film
Stunning. Love the skin tones and the overall texture of the image. You just can't get this with video.
Great work Emerson. You have captured the beauty of this format. Some digital cameras are great, no doubt, but they will never replicate the gorgeous, organic subtleties of film.
Making a feature movie with film is my dream. One day.
Thank you for putting the info about the camera. This is the most beautiful thing I’ve seen in a long time.
great test. thank you for actually putting humans in front of the camera and not just landscapes like so many other tests. really good lens
This is just amazing. Film gives such a natural and emotional look... I loved this!
love the colours on this, super dope
It's very 90s! But in some way cool and natural. Great Job Emerson
This footage is stunning, my gosh!
Awesome shots, I love the feel of that beautiful picture.
Looks so good -- timeless and iconic.
this is SO COOL ugh I love everything about this.
That's really gorgeous! With this smooth music, I'm totally moved.
this is so beautiful. i love the look of film!!
This looks absolutely amazing
Gosh, the colors! Amazing.
This looks like an 80s film, except for the cars parked on the side of the road. Your hairstyle, dressing style is so reminiscent of the 80s. Kudos!
This is a piece of art
Just gorgeous!
A very beautiful film with potential I love seeing aspiring film makers in their natural habitat
More satisfaction from this than most regular movies today
Beautifully shot by Emerson Duggan! Great careers ahead of this group!
Fantastic! Shooting on film is definitely worth the cost and effort. That silky look and that gorgeous highlight rolloff. No way you can get that look and feel with anything but real film! Wishing you the best of luck with all your upcoming projects!
This is phenomenal!!
Beautiful images!
This is extremely inspirational. Looks absolutely fantastic! Now I want to rent a 16mm Arri camera and shoot some footage lol.
This was amazing 💛
Very nice 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Car scenes shows the latitude of the film perfectly, I liked it
I love the grain.
This feels like a short movie in itself
Love the footage of this.
This was lovely
This looks dope man
This is unbeliavable! Something like Louis Delluc’s photogenie!
Why dont u have a millions subscribers on YT?! MAN! this is amazingg!
Awesome! Nice work, thanks for sharing.
Great colors and exposure, and a nice steady image that looks like 35mm. Better quality than almost all S16 tests I have seen on youtube or vimeo. I wonder how much of that is the Arri, how much the Zeiss primes, and how much is the Fotokem processing/CC.
Some extremely high quality footage here
Got' Damn that looks good!
amazing!
Now this looks just great, like the movies were back then.
Great video
1000th like :D this was amazing loved it
man I love look of this.. amazing
Amazing!
Everything look so important in 16mm
nice man, saw you work in the Here With Me music video too, stands out
Amazing picture
Loving it...I just acquired an old Aaton S16 and can't wait to shoot with it, am I wrong to be sad upon the fact that show runners don't give a s.... about this extra mile we are willing to go to keep alive this passion of motion picture on film.
Beautiful!
Incredible. Holy shit
Those colors, i hope have this camera and the film can be buy in my coutry
Awesome!
Looks so vintage, I love that though
Nicely done!
Statuskuo75 thank you! i just looked at you channel and realized it was your super 16 film of driving down that road in the desert that made me want to try 16mm in the first place. now i think i will be making my thesis film for film school on super 16.
@@embo920 excellent choice! It will standout for sure! Ultraprimes looks incredible.
pretty dope bruv
lovely
Amazing.
very impressive
*glorious*
god that looks nice
PUCH MAGNUM GANG 🏍🚀
wow, looks like a movie
Nice job. Keep it up
Wow. Bro. I love. ❤️
I only got one word: Whow!
this is great
You have skills brother
Film is magic, is true, is uman. I love film
Hey Emerson. If you export and upload your final file in 4K (even if you didn't edit in 4K), it will force CZcams to use it's better codec. Also if you export your final file in something like prores or cineform5, you will preserve more grain on CZcams. This looks gorgeous by the way!
spectacular. exposure was dead on. that's not easy.
Wow this footage looks amazing. I have a short film that I hope to make one day that takes place in the early 50’s and I would love to shoot on an Arri SR3 for that older film look but with it being my first film it’s probably a good idea to stick with digital just to keep things less complicated.
thank you so much!
Omg this looks gorgeous! Awesome job. How much did forokem charge you for the process and scan?
This is real color, real shadows, real motion and best Quality this is 35mm film
Real Film just looks right. Digital cameras only imitate it.
super!!!
digital sensors never be an analog film thats it the proof. beautiful colors and details.
Fabulous, organic image is not about HFR&resolution at all.
Beautifully shot mate, can we see your final film?
Fantastic test! looks awesome. how did you like handling the Arri Sr3?
Wow impressive! The only camera that come close to film is the pocket cinema camera , the original one.
Very nice. Film rocks! What lens was on the camera for the test?
it looks identical to a hdtv 2/3rd inch camera. sensor is about the same size. you can tell theres more dynamic range, but these cameras are incredibly hard to find these days and cost over 10k anywhere online.
Nice.
This looks like beautifully shot 16mm. How'd you get it so clean???
Beautiful! I didn't know you could get rid of all the scratches
If you scan right after developing (to avoid excess dust and damage to negative such as scratches) and if you use a nicer camera (like an ARRI or Aaton) than a Bolex you can get very limited scratches. Also important that the camera and mags are well maintained by a rental house.
@@embo920 ohhhh okok. Thank you so much
Is this really 16mm? This looks way too good
