I have no idea if Klopp in particular is interested or not, but it's funny that people are convinced no big coach would take the job. If the money is there they certainly will. Why wouldn't they? It's a unique opportunity to coach a huge and rich country where soccer is growing in popularity at a home world cup which will be the largest, highest attended, and most financially successful world cup in history. There's a good group of players who aren't world beaters but who have the possibility to make a decent run in the tournament. A strong showing could propel the coach to recognition in the US for years to come. It would be a feather in any coach's cap, even if just from a financial point of view. The thing is USSF doesn't really want to do it. They don't want to wrangle up the money and they don't really want a foreign coach.

If US Soccer wants to take this sport to another level they MUST succeed in the next WC here in the US in 2026.

Guardiola and Klopp?! These guys are delusional! I'm American, but there is no way coaches of that caliber in their prime will ever take on any national team, let alone USMNT. They need to look at countries like Japan, Croatia, Senegal, Turkey, etc. that typically do well to get out of groups and into quarters, or on rare occasions, semis of international tournaments. And then see what they do in terms of coaching recruitment. You have to learn to walk before you can run!
And the biggest elephant in the room - why is grassroots football so horribly over-priced and low quality in this country? The biggest stars all over the world have come from the favelas, barrios, shantys, slums, etc. There is a reason why 'street football' is the best place for kids to learn the beautiful game and hone their craft. The 'club' football scene in this country is just a money-grab operation run by a bunch of grifters. The coaching, the philosophy, everything about it is second-rate. It's astonishing that despite having such a large amount of youth playing football in this country that the talent isn't coming to the surface. The biggest reason is sub-par coaching that emphasizes physicality over actual technical skills and intelligence. Some of the best players, throughout the history of the game, are not physically dominant specimens - Garrincha, Maradona, Messi, Makalele, Kante, Greizmann, Xavi, Iniesta, Modric, the list goes on!

Jobs too big for him, upcoming World Cup host, golden generation we need a top level manager that can handle that pressure

Gender parity should not force permanently "pegging" the USWNT manager salary to the USMNT manager salary, against supply demand market forces. Gender parity should imply that a female or a male of equivalent quality would get the same salary if hired to manage the USMNT -- i.e. same position, same qualifications, same salary regardless of gender (gender blind).

"you cant spend money with the hopes you make it somewhere else"
But you can, you make investments with the hope you make it back - in this case there are tangible numbers a national team gets by going further in tournaments. C'mon.

Kasey is desperate to have his buddy Berhaltrt keep his job. He comes up with all kinds of BS reasons not to hire someone like Klopp.

Definetely. You are insanely lucky if you get him. He can make a big difference in the two years leading to the world cup.

Klopp seems to be a man of character and values and as a "soccering"nation we have none of those. We are more concerned with making money in our youth programs than truly building a culture. Klopp's tweet is not a hint that he would be interested in coaching in America.

Klopp would make huge in endorsements in the states and the owner of Atlanta united gave the USSF 50 million of his own money to them im sure others would pitch in for Klopp like Canada did for marsh

So was the final word that we should pay him a ton of money because the US doesn’t care enough about soccer to keep him accountable after yelling, “we need to hold the US coach accountable” for years now?

Bro is just sending tweet. He’s literally retiring on the top of the game. Not saying he won’t be back at some point, but if he does why would it be this year, and why would he bother with the USMNT? He could have almost any job in the world. Greg B probably couldn’t land a top job in any of the top three leagues in Europe.

You have a more realsitic view on the situation then these pundits. Really, Klopp has no reason whatsoever to coach the USMNT.
And when it comes to the top 5 leagues, Berhalter is the type of manager who suddenly finds himself on the bench of a mid/low tier club wich is fighting not to be relegated and for lack of money and a vision hire just some guy. The type of jobs that usually last 4-8 monts and always end in failiure.
