Through heart surgery and hearing loss, Avery found the support she needed with Dayton Children's

Meet Avery, one of Dayton Children's patient ambassadors! 👋 Avery’s joyful outlook on life has changed her family’s lives for the better. Avery was born prematurely with Down syndrome, hearing loss and vision impairment. She also needed open heart surgery at just 4 months old. With such a dramatic entrance into the world, little Avery has become a “frequent flyer” at Dayton Children’s. Today, she is thriving, fearless and loving. She calls her cardiologist her “hero,” but everyone knows the truth - Avery is the real hero!
