If anyone's wondering I used 800 m of yarn to make a medium-sized sweater ☺️ also for all the people that seem confused about joining the parts together, you could use either a slip stitch or single crochet stich. Just place the pieces one on top of eachother(two together each time) on the "wrong" side and then connect them as I said. Be very careful because I had to do it again and again: don't use tension, like at all! Make the stiches as relaxed as you can because otherwise it will scrunch up the sweater and make the sleeves impossible to fit around your arm.

For anyone interested in my experience and alterations. I'm a [S/M]
I chained 55 + 3 for the front and the back and made 21 rows instead of 16 so it's a little longer.
For the sleeves I chained 45 + 3 and made 24 rows [because I have long arms]

Okay so I was trying to crochet one of these sweaters but I had an issue with the stitching. I started with 48+3 but as I crocheted into the chains and progressed thru the rows I ended up with more stitches than I started with. I just wanted to ask and see if I was supposed to do a turning chain of 3, skip the first stitch, continue treble (triple) crocheting and then tc1tog. Thanks :)

only took me two days and was a lot of fun, but I would recommend making the body longer than you think at least in the back. Even with the best posture it will be oddly short if you make it as long as you want in the front.

This was easy and made a really pretty sweater. It took me about a month because I am a beginner (and very busy) but I love what it turned out to be. I added cuffs to the sleeves as well and lucky sewing it on wasn't much of a challenge. Thank you! :)

    • @evelynnkani8867

Hi there... please can you help, I'm sort of stuck. How did you connect the front, back and sleeves together?? 🙏

    • @happysunflower8298
      @happysunflower8298 Před 2 lety

For the front and back I sewed up the sides, I measured how big my sleeves were folded in half and made sure to leave enough room for them, and then went ahead and sewed about 1/4 to 1/3 of the front and back together at the top leaving room for the neckline.
once the front and back are together I attached the sleeve where the seem of the sleeve, and seem of the front/back is. Because my sleeve was already made to be together (because i added cuffs) you sew around, making sure when you get to the top (where you sewed for your neckline) you don't have to little or to much sleeve and continue working down the side. Flip around your work as you go.
I used a mattress stich for all of it.
If you need more help or clarification let me know! :)

I like following the written pattern on her blog but I was a little confused, so I hope this helps someone because I restarted my rows like three times 🥲. When you start a new row, the chain 3 does not count AND your treble crochet stitches start in the next hole (stitch). In other words, don't put the treble crochet into the same stitch as the chain 3. Also the very last stitch where you do two treble crochet stitches together, that unit counts as 1 stitch. My edges kept looking funky because I didn't skip to the next stitch for the TC, and I also didn't fully understand how the last stitch was counted. Otherwise, great tutorial! I'll come back to update once I'm done

I woke up and decided I want to make a sweater so I used this tutorial and finished in 1 day after 12 hour of crocheting 😂

The tc2tog is making the project get wider and wider each row, have I misunderstood the instructions?

I was having the same problem. Just don’t tc2tog in the last chain space but in the last stitch instead. I hope that helps!

I love this pattern, but I have a question: Doesn't the sweater stretch too much after wearing it for some time?

I love this tutorial! I’ve just finished making the first panel, and for some reason I’ve lost a stitch on every row!? Does anyone know why this happens and how I can stop it? Thank you! ❤️❤️❤️

I think this is most likely because you don’t chain before starting a new row! You have to make sure to chain 3 (atleast for treble crochet) at the start of each row, or it can also be because you may accidentally skip a stitch in your rows! Hope this helps!

I did 17 rows for front and back panel using 4 yarn and 5mm hook and still found that too cropped so when doing this pattern might want to keep that in mind

Buying yarn is such a difficult and confusing process for me. I’ve been looking for what feels like hours. What yarn do you suggest using?

Hi, will the number of stitches increase with each row bcz we have to do double stitch in last stitch of each row???
