I just started listening to Slipknot. I always replay this song at least once when I have their songs going. For some reason it’s reminiscent of my childhood, as though I’ve heard it before as a little girl. I’m 24 now and I grew up in Jamaica so not too much rock music going on here (not much at all) but God I am in love with this song. I don’t know how to explain how it makes me feel. Slipknot forever ❤

Bro bro I’ll give u a slipknot history back in 1995 3 friends called Shawn Paul and joey where at a gas station and they were like we need to do something stupid so they formed slipknot and they found anders for a lead singer and Craig as a Gitarrist in 1996 they released there album mfkr and then a break then In 1997 a secret album called crowz released and nothing for two years and then anders left the band and they found a young man called Corey Corey Taylor and they started recording under roadrunner records and they became famous allover Iowa after there debute album slipknot and In 2001 Iowa the heaviest metal album ever released and they hit international fame then Corey said he can make a album with no sewers but bitch and shit then they went on hiadis and now In 2009 they come back but hate everyone in the band and now they release all hope is gone then 7
months later a tragic accident happens Paul grey is dead found dead of a overdose the band helps and becomes a family again then they make entenas to hell for him but not enough they then release .5 the grey chapter as a full tribute to Paul 4 years after he died
2019 they released all out of life and then a new album called we are not your kind
Then in 2021 joey dies of cancer but he was replaced years ago
2022 they released the end so far ur welcome

The reason that I love Slipknot so much is because the rhythm and the tone of their songs dont sound like any other heavy metal songs, basically their songs are like on another level, and Corey's screams still has a tone to it, unlike any other screamer vocalist, whos scream dont really sound that desirable.

3:29 I knew this song was about Paul's herion addiction. This scene is something out of Wizard of Oz, when they were in the field of pink flowers and fell asleep, which was itself a metaphor for heroin (and the "snow" was cocaine, hence why they wake up). Plus listen to the lyrics "Her canvas doesn't leave a mark that I can see" basically talking about track marks you usually see with herion addicts but somehow Paul was able to hid it from them. Mitch Klein Well it's only because of this scene with the flowers. It definitely looks like it was taken from Wizard of Oz. Pink flowers, girl falls asleep, Clown seems to be mourning (because she OD'd). And that scene is well known for it's reference to heroin.
