Kinda the same i listened to alot of thier older stuff then kinda fell off but i believe the revanchist was what brought me back
Alex adds so much to this band. I feel like if they had any of their other drummers on this song, this song would’ve fallen flat

Jared Hochstetler Nick Augusto was a hard act to follow even though he was an ass, but Bent just blows him out of the water
What I like most about this music video is how the 4 are chilling here like some pals, I can't remember the three guys have included their former drummers into their circle like this.
It looks like they're all warm with Alex Bent, also it can be seen on that recent live stream, where they have played a show in a studio, they have welcomed him and I hope he will stay their drummer from now on.
It feels like shogun and the sin and the sentence had a baby.

Sin in the Sentence was Alex breaking in his new shoes, just from this track alone, hes showing he's here to stay, and holy shit is this song great, I felt a very strong Torn Between scylla and charybdis vibe leading into and in the solo with some Silence in the Snow, but the part after the solo felt very new and refreshing for them, so pumped for what we got coming in april!
Fun fact I found your channel through you Sin & The Sentence reactions and subscribed when I saw you did Arrowverse vids too! This was a nice full circle moment! Hope you do more reactions to new Trivium when it drops!

I like your reactions the best because you actually know metal and the history of the bands you react to as well as the in and outs of music as far as fills, harmonizing and solos. As for my opinion of the song it sounds like it's going to be a somewhat heavy album, not quite as heavy as the sin and the sentence, maybe somewhere between that and silence in the snow.

It's like a fake-out. The first half is more like Silence in the snow era stuff, mostly singing and catchy stuff and then the bridge and the screaming comes out of nowhere, just like Sin and the sentence did to Trivium fans. Great song.

It sounds like an expansion of the TSATS sound and its great. Also, I think this is better single than the 3 released on TSATS.

it's not harmonizing in the solo, it's an octave effect. a pedal that octaves either above or below what you are playing. VERY cool pedal.

Interesting fact: Matt Heafy made a promise over ten years ago during a show in SLC, Utah, that Trivium would be perfecting their technical skills by studying classical musical styles to bring us the best music possible. This song is what they promised us ten years ago. Trivium has arrived and by the sound of it made a deal with devil. Can't wait for the album to come out. Happy listening.
Jay Weinberg is an awesome drummer, he really kills the drums, but I think the title of Best Metal Drummer from last year was for Alex Bent, no questions asked, he’s a beast.

Combining Silence in the Snow and Sin and the Sentence is the style I have always wanted!
Funny since TS&TS was a blend of all their previous efforts.
If anything this could be a majority blend of SITS & IW with hints of VF and Shogun.

This video was claimed by copyright. Just have to know what is ok and isn’t. Different companies approach copyright differently

Like I said, different companies do different things. Some claim the video and leave it up for people to view. Some companies are most strict and they will have the video blocked because of the content within the video. It’s very tricky sometimes, i suggest looking up videos on it
