You all should pay closer attention to details. This Pyroraptor wasn’t hunting Owen and Kayla. It more than likely was protecting a nest, much like how geese and swans do. First clue, it shook off a thin layer of snow when it first appeared. Likely the result of sitting on a nest. Second clue, when it approached Owen and Kayla, it didn’t rush them, it approached slowly as if it was studying them as potential threats to the nest he was guarding. Third clue, it never injured Owen or Kayla, just chased them around his territory until they got in the elevator. That’s what most geese and swans I’ve seen videos of do when they are brooding a nest.
Therefore, this Pyroraptor is not hunting, but is being a good dad by guarding his nest.
Bash me all you want for this, but it made the most sense to me when I saw this scene in the movie theaters.
At first I thought the pyroraptor was stupid or inexperienced to hunt. Instead of a surprise attack it makes noise and comes up from the front. However, your theory explains it better.
The heroes provoked him to attack as they drew their weapons
Ma you're a nerd
The pyroraptor is a very clever and fierce predator. It might have been protecting a nest, but it wasn't messing around doing so. They were lucky because the way it went after them on cold thin ice and into the water. Very dangerous.
I agree
Tbh he coulda also been defending itself
Little known fact. Hypothermia doesn't exist in this cinematic universe... apparently.
Apparently everyone is a clone in this universe
Nor getting wet when the window of the plane was busted out
Neither does any common sense. Let's both walk on thin ice, right next to eachother instead of spreading out and sliding on bellies to disperse weight. How was she able to reach 5 feet under water, while still standing up on ice? How was she able to stand right on the edge of busted ice, and not fall through? Things like that in movies really bothers me.
@@CZcamsSaysThereCantBeTwoRyans I was thinking about all of this as well, in fact it kind of took me out of the scene especially them not feeling cold at all like they were...well in a movie studio.
@Mind Master right?! When things are too weird like that, or make zero sense, makes me feel totally disengaged with the movie. Let's use the first movie as an example: when the T-rex breaks out, and all you hear is the pouring rain, and the t-rex noises.. I felt like I was hiding in the flipped over car, soaking wet and freezing my ass off, but too afraid to shiver otherwise the T-rex would see or hear me. Things that make zero sense really ruins a movie for me., especially if it's one thing after the other after the other.
“What an asshole”
The pyroraptor: WHAT DID YOU SAY!?!?!??!?
"That doesn't look very scary. More like a six-foot turkey."
The six-foot carnivorous turkey with literal blades on its extremities: 👆
i’m sure if a 6 foot turkey was real it would be scary
Pyroraptors actually can only get up to 3.5-4.0ft because there actually really small
That could swim underwater
For everybody who’s reading this comment, 6 feet converts to 1.83 meters. I am from the United States but I use the metric system for reasons of international collaboration and convenience. Universal Pictures really should rely less often on the US customary system and more on the metric system, since it is based on the decimal number: 10.
And when you consider that real turkeys are pricks to people, the aggression shown in this scene suddenly becomes a lot more plausible.
Owen: "What an a**hole"
Pyro: *jumps out* "DAFUQ YOU CALL MEH?!"
I LAUGHED SO HARD WHEN OWEN SAID🔻
“ What An Asshole “ 😂🤣😂
The pyro deserved more screentime, it got half of this scenes worth of it and it would have shown of more of the feathered dinosaurs, Moros, 1 scene at the start, theri, 2 scenes during the end, PYRO DESERVED MORE, GIVE IT A ROLE IN A SPIN OFF SHOW LIKE A KAYLA WATTS SHOW WHERE IT PLAYS A TORO ROLE
Exactly Maybe He.all Encourage Us To Swim
I literally laughed in the theater when Kayla Watts said "Nope."
Wow! Did you really do that ?
same
Wow,how interesting,your humor is horrible,congrats
It’s one of the most genuine Nope’s
Yeah it was so much on the right place for them to say it. Hilarious af
The pyroraptor is a masterpiece👌
I wish the pyroraptor had more screentime😮💨
2:47 "WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY?!?!"
The Pyroraptor can swim thanks to the Penguin DNA
Don’t you mean leopard seal DNA?
@@diegofavaratozfilms962 Penguin DNA gives Pyroraptor the ability to swim and leopard seal DNA makes pyro more aggressive
So i think Pyroraptor had both penguin and Leopard seal DNA
Ok cool
Wow
diving birds are a thing, id guess cormorant if anything
Pyroraptor literally avoided pouncing on a free meal because he wanted to have a swim
No not at all 😂 they can swim very well. That was a strategic move
Despite there not being any evidence it could swim like a puffin
He!?
@@theotheseaeagle And even if there was, the design doesn't match the behavior they showed. Its way too skinny and the feather coat is too light to be able to survive in frigid ice water, let alone dive in it like a leopard seal.
@@FantasticFawnleap your point is what exactly
I love the part where she screamed as she ran across the catwalk even if she is a badass pilot by all rights I love the fact she has a realistic reaction to getting chased by a damn dinosaur which is *screaming*
Yeah
@@pyroraptor205oh shiite it’s her
2:27 the plot armor is crazy
The first time I saw the trailer of this movie, and before I saw the whole movie, I thought the black woman was Kelly, Ian Malcom's daughter, as an adult.
SAME
Me too
Yo
Finally a truly beautiful feathery dinosaur. Biosyn finally made what type of dinos we want to see! I hope the next season of Jurassic will have more of these actual dinos with hair, feathers, quills, and surviving on pure instinct because the Pyroraptor, Quetzacoatlus and Therizinosaurus are Beautiful!
Quetzalcoatlus is not a dino🤓
@@StarplayzYT5461 I know, it's a Pyterosaur. I just didn't want to be specific.
@@Bloody_FOXY47040 oh ok
I’m glad they actually gave it feathers but its still very inaccurate. The head looks very strange and the hands are also pronated.
@@theotheseaeagle The size is obviously incorrect, there needs to be more feathers on the face and legs, the mouth is inaccurate, and it is unknown if they were great swimmers. But I still love that jurassic is SLOWLY going in the right direction.
3:14 this Chase kinda reminds me of the chase of the Indoraptor.
Yeah because a raptor has to be the villain in every movie.
@@TheConspiredOneBlue:
@@bawn_bawn Blue should be put down we don't need friendly dinosaurs it isnt a raptor at all its a teddy bear. They fucked up with that dinosaur.
They did not even look a little cold like they were somehow immune to getting cold.
The pyro raptor does look more realistic then the other raptors in the series, but they still made it triple it’s actual size 😐. Next time you make a human-sized raptor, just use the freaking deinonychus and utahraptor already, Jurassic world.
Bro shut up
The atrociraptors were originally supposed to be deinonychus but they were changed as they found that deinonychus would be too “confusing” and similar to normal velociraptors
austroraptor would fit best because it is large (second only to utahraptor) and semi-aquatic
@@AtrociCollectorlmao what. I’d say atrociraptor sounds more similar to velociraptor than deinonychus. I mean it’s still nice though that they are giving more under represented dinosaurs the spotlight
@@theotheseaeagle I mean I don’t mind both species. The deinonychus concept art looks really cool
If Pyroraptor was indeed a predator in a snowy/icy environment, it wouldn't be red lmao
I believe these were his mating colors. He behaved like male swan guarding nest.
@@kamirostorino9416correct, most dinosaurs had different colors depending if they were male or female just like in today's animal's , but some dinosaurs only had colors matching there Habitat, so I'd say feathered dinos mainly bad display colors like that
The pyroraptor isn't adapted to a snowy environment she just spends most of her time in this area because her feathers keep her warm and there she doesn't have to worry about predators like giganotosaurus or competition like dilophosaurus
for human eyes yes but in reality, tigers live in the jungle and they're red and a lot of orange cats caught rabbits, colors only matter if the prey aren't colorblind or have good vision xD
oh also I almost forgot, the Siberian tiger is an apex predator in a snowy environment and they're also guess what? red xD
💖I Love You Pyroraptor💖
Wha-wha💀
The Pyroraptor looks cool I guess… but this scene would have been better if the Quetz was stalking Owen and Kayla on the ground/ice like a giant killer stork…
That's actually brilliant
That would’ve been scary af but either way the quetz would just attack
But wouldn't the ice just break if something so huge like the quetz is on top of it ( i know that the quetz is actually pretty fragile , but in this universe it suddenly stepping on the plane literally shook it for a moment so it's very strong in this universe no doubt)
Like it couldn't even accomodate 2 people and a Pyroraptor, it was already cracking
2:47 hahaha! I love that line. 😅
Her whole reaction is exactly how a human should react from the first no all the way to the tazing at the end
Am I the only one who likes that they made most of the dinosaurs larger than they actually were? The movie isn't about scientific accuracy, that's not why people watch it. People want to be entertained, they want big scary dinosaurs to create tension. This scene would not be nearly as intense if they made the Pyroraptor it's actual size. Making it bigger made it scarier and made the scene better to watch. I don't think Owen and Kayla would have been too scared if they saw one 3 foot tall raptor approaching them
EXACTLY
My main problem with inaccurate representation of dinosaurs for the sake of spectacle is that it creates a false impression of dinosaurs in the publics mind. You already have people who get pissy about more accurate dinosaurs being displayed because of there own false interpretations.
@skullstar I understand that but it's people choice. How they choose to see dinosaurs. What kind of dinosaurs they want to see on their TV. If people want to see accurate dinosaurs, they can go watch a different movie. If they want to see less accurate and scary dinosaurs, this is the movie for them. Jurassic World went with the first three movies of the franchise, not wanting to change the Jurassic Park dinosaurs too much. In 1993, the Jurassic Park dinosaurs were probably the most accurate on screen dinosaurs we had seen. I feel like they added the Therizinosaurus and Pyroraptor to try calm people down who were screaming down their throats that the dinosaurs were not accurate. But, it's still not good enough for some people. The Jurassic franchise are horror movies so the scenes with the dinosaurs are supposed to be intense and the dinosaurs are supposed to be terrifying, not accurate. I feel like maybe some people watch this and forget that it's a horror movie, not a nature documentary
I mean that’s the whole point. It’s about spectacle. The point of the original park was about creating spectacular dinosaurs to look at. Even if they could bring back a 100% genetic clone of the T-Rex, if they found out it was covered in feathers they would modify the DNA as most people want to see a big toothy Dino. Corporations paid the scientists to make miracles happen and as long as those miracles would sell they could keep trying new things.
I only wish they had done the same for Dilophosaurus. But nope.
For those who don't Know why the pyroraptor was diving to the water to catch is because obviously it knew that it would slip to it dives faster in water so it decided to break the glass in order to put Owen and Kayla to the water so it would be easier to catch
Duhhhhhhhhhhhh x infinity
That's not glass, that's ice.
when I saw the pyroraptor in the trailer, I was like "oh cool they finally introduced utahraptor"
but then I found out it was a scaled up pyroraptor 😔
Some day they will introduce Utahraptor and it will be like the size of Rexy
Owen and Kayla: "were at in the open and not even running yet, easy prey!" Pyroraptor: "nah I could get a few strokes in to intimidate ya."
A dinosaur called Pyroraptor lives in the Arctic biome. How ironic
That's how they stay warm... they steal fire 😉
@@harrisonfnord5871 ahahahaha
Yeah, maybe it should just live inside the microwave. 😃👍
Fun fact, Pyroraptor's name means fire thief, becasuse of the feathers on it's head.
Actually, pyroraptor have that name because its fossils were found right after a forest fire in France
Ah yes another person making up shit on the internet. How the hell would feathers make it a fire thief lol great logic making that up
Yeah, the Pyroraptor it's so interesting.
I coulda sworn he was on the board at BIC
Why’re you making shit up?
Bro your rant was epic
I've seen 90's TV shows with better CGI than the opening shot
The pyroraptor is one of my favorite dinosaurs
I love pyroraptor
I love she says “NOPE” and starts running
Love how the lady was like "Nope!"
Guess dinosaurs were immune to hypothermia
It has feathers to keep it warm
So was Owen.
@@RandomEdits37 Not with a coat that short.
it's probably the penguin dna.
I don’t like how everyone was like a superhero in this one. Remember how stupid it was in Lost Kingdom when the little girl kicked the raptor out the window? That’s basically this whole movie. A lot of cool Dinos though.
The Lost World you mean
Judging by the ice thickness that wouldn’t crack at all even if you have an ATV with you lol…ice at 6 inches is actually pretty strong as it turns out..
Pyroraptor moment:
I wanna hug that dinosaur so much, he looks so fluffy and cute, he really does ❤😍🥰❤😍🥰❤😍🥰❤😍🥰
3:12 The scream is the best sound in this movie
So goofy
She sounded like Mario
AWWWWWW And the dinosaur had a little swim❤
2:15 "They swim now?"
Yes
I can
It took them long enough to understand when he dived into the water what was going on 🤣 wow what a delayed reaction nope 😵💫
Fun fact: pyroraptor has this name cuz the fossils of it was found near a forest fire so that's why pyroraptor got its name and it's called the fire theif
Good shot when the pyroraptor jumps out of the ice
When they grabbed that steel pipe with their wet hands they should have stuck to it.
I loved this scene in the movies when i saw it ... i loved it!! 😁😁😁
Was man heute nicht alles umsetzen kann für das Menschliche Auge .👍
Probably my favorite raptor design.

I thought it was a Deinoychus when I saw the trailer
Raptors with feathers, just look more menacing.
if you pay attention to the song at 0:00
it's To Free or Not to Free by Michael Giacchino
This scene is absolute lunacy.
1:19 The woman can't act to save her life.
Captain Obvious says wet hands would have stuck to that frozen pipe railing.
THE BEST SCENE OF THE WHOLE DAMN M⭕️VIE🥶
This one look more like a Deinonychus. If we look at its tail, we can actually see that it’s 99.99% not a Pyroraptor :D
It was confirmed by the folks who made the film to be a Pyroraptor
looks like you need a witcher
Owen: what an asshole
Pyroraptor: BITCH WTF DID U JUS CALLED ME???!! 2:49
What I noticed about this scene is that the pyroraptor’s feathers didn’t get wet at all. So it most likely had duck and penguin dna to fill in the gaps and that explains why it was so good at swimming and how it didn’t get wet
Good theory
I wish I know it could swim like a puffin earlier that was cool and scary and unexpected
pryroraptor is cool i sub bro

Welcome to Jurassic Park 🦖
If only that had about if realism like the obviously cold water…and touching the metal railing with a wet hand would peel the skin off…I mean the last time my hand was wet and I touched a pole my hand got stuck and some skin came off…that hurt all day lol…
Oh pyroraptor 😮Can swim
Yup 👍🏾
1:40 Warning Pyroraptor
The pyroraptor is my favorite dinosaur in this movie aside from Beta
"NOOOO STAY! AM FRIEND! CHAMBERLAIN FRIEND! GELFLING MAKE PEACE WITH SKEKSIS, HMMMM? PLEEEEEEASE???"
I swear this made me think of jojos bizarre adventures
Hahhah how bad is this!!....excellent
Say what you want, but I loved dominion.
The pyroraptor was probably protecting a nest.
Aww the Lil head tilt at 1:55 adorable.
Also I dont know if they actually could swim but it's a flawless animation.
This scene feels oddly underwhelming. There was no buildup to the Pyroraptor appearing. Maybe it could have had them both walking and we see the Pyroraptor lurking in the background until we finally see it appear. I guess it might also have to do with the fact that the scene is super short and basically doesn't have any consequences.
Make fun of Jurassic Park III all you want but at least the raptor sequence involved the raptor lurking in the background and actually was longer and had consequences since it involved Grant getting split up from the group and meeting Eric.
j3 was my second favourite after j1 everything else has been sht
Sup guys It’s Pyro 😎
Anyone else wonder how the fuck a cold blooded animal can live and move like that in such a frozen environment
