  • Common Responses Put Forward That Deny Baby Monkey Abuse
Many concerned viewers will voice their concerns and knowledge about the content they are seeing on social media pet monkey channels. Whilst everyone is entitled to their opinion of course, many concerned viewers receive comments from people that are not helpful in the context of such an important issue regarding the welfare of these primates.
In this video, I discuss some of the more common responses put forward (quite often from monkey haters) that deny baby monkey abuse.

I think it's funny when people say they're being taken care of when people keep them as pets. How can they not realize these monkeys get thrown away when they hit a certain age and replaced? How is that better? They have no skills then either pass a way from lack of food or are attacked for crying because their scared, ect. Ridiculous.

People have commented that Bibi is not forced to walk on two legs; he CHOOSES to walk on two legs.
NO! The early videos of Bibi do not show the man’s face, so I don’t know if it was Quan. The man set a bottle of milk 3 feet in front of Bibi, who ran to the milk on 4 legs. The man yanked the bottle away. The man set the bottle down again 3 feet in front of Bibi. Bibi ran to the milk on two legs and was allowed to take the milk. Bibi had to walk on two legs or starve.
I have seen several videos that show how monkeys are “trained” to walk on two legs. I have seen videos that show monkeys with their hands tied behind their backs. The owners are proud to show this “training.” They say, “People train dogs.”

Generally we don't take newborn kittens and puppies and other domesticated pets away from their mothers and force them to wear clothing and walk on two feet. We let them be what they are. When I see monkeys walking bipedally, it's not attractive and it looks akward and uncomfortable. I would rather see them walking normally, climbing and enjoying their lives.

Kaka’s previous owner visited her at the sanctuary, where Kaka walks on 4 legs. The previous owner ordered, “Walk on 2 legs!” (Twice) Kaka ignored the orders, and continued to walk on 4 legs. thank you for another well made video. i used to argue for the pet owners, then i realized the truth and started arguing for the animals and then i realized they dont care what you say and they are always right no matter what kind of factual evidence you have. i did a lot of research on monkeys because i wanted one but the more i searched the more i new being with humans is not what they need. i even talked my sister in law out of getting one and presented her with suitable arguments against exotic pets. i have since quit commenting on pet monkey channels and have noticed i am not as stressed lol. i do have questions about a few of the monkey channels from the US that seemingly take very good care of their monkeys, i know its not ideal but my question is that if they purchased it ,didnt they sort of save it? even though they are not getting everything they need to survive naturally , they are getting the best care the people know how and seemingly the monkeys are in good health, though some seem to have social or psychological issues however minor.i dont believe now that anyone should have a monkey but there is a channel i want to know about they are Hispanic and have capuchins and they love on them and stay in their faces with kisses and let the babies sit with them . something seems off with them. there are quite a few but that one seems off to me the most, because you can see the psychological issues the monkeys have by their actions. though they are very well taken care of. there are quite a few based in the US that seem to take good care but you just know that its sad for the monkeys not to be able to be what they are supposed to be.

That's incredible that you got informed and found the truth. To answer your question, no, they are not saved when they are purchased. If they are in the United States then they were bred just to be sold and buying one means that there is more incentive to breed another, then another. They are only sold as babies. Ripped from their mother's arms screaming for her. Statistically, they will be dumped if they can even find a place that will take them with every sanctuary past capacity. You have noticed yourself that monetizing life is risky business. Their owners have turned them into an entertainment product and are curating what we see. They're also conditioning the suspecting public to think that these creatures are pets, thereby once again contributing to the cruel primate trade with owners who will not have the means or knowledge to give them a semblance of any quality life. Like you said, there's something off. They need their troop and acres upon acres of land. Not ad revenue and diapers. It might be the best of the worst but still an awful existence for them.

@@teresascrochetandanimals awwww those poor monkeys. Even the most well intentioned humans would have an almost impossible task caring for their needs. And even the most abused monkeys will still try to cling to their caregivers and seek love from them. It's deeply ingrained on their psychology to love their primary caregiver since they are so completely reliant on their mothers and spend all day clinging to her fur for most of their childhood. Have you seen a channel called monkey sentinel? They have some really good videos on the psychological mechanisms at play here. It's really well researched but easy to watch. The guy is a professor. Id start with the oldest videos for the kinds of questions you have or stuff you've noticed (which is dead on the money btw). It's super fascinating stuff! there's not so much name calling as you suggest from my experience, its people who dispute that monkey mothers get killed in order to make their offspring pets and video stars, or how come cow milk make them sick there's nothing else that they can feed on, or there are so many poor starving children in the world and you're bothered about monkeys shame on you........ but both monkeys and starving kids are worthy of our attention and action. Then there's the ones that say they walk on two legs all the time by their own choice and you're making it up that it damages their spines, hips and skeletal structure being trained to walk only on two legs..............
Ppl also dispute that e.g. donuts, sugary drinks, sugar added yoghurts, refined white rice with nothing else to go with it and candy are bad for monkeys, as they'll say they eat the same as us...... That's it not name calling generally, just people sometimes stridently disagreeing with people who wish to protect monkeys from abuse deliberate or in ignornce about the effects of being kept as a pet/video subject with the average owner who has little knowledge what a primate needs.

CZcams asks you to submit a feedback with all of your questions, but I've yet to get an answer of clarification. In the guidelines, they really do say that if you comment too much, they'll nail you for it. Also, if you use certain keywords, or even too many emojis, CZcams will hold your comment, and it won't show up. The channel creators can, automatically delete your comments. This is what happened to me the most BEFORE I STOPPED COMMENTING on the offending, abusive videos instead of just simply reporting them. If you've ever been to CZcams Jail, CZcams will pay special attention to your comments and 50% of the time, they won't show up in the comment section or your CZcams data.

Monkeys can be domesticated. This does not include potty training and everything we think of when think pets. Monkeys like people can and DO develop self identity based off of articles of clothing and appearance.
People are thinking like people here and missing the point.
No man will suffer being a play thing or slave. It will be miserable and they will rebel. Same for monkeys. They can be family but NEVER PETS or PRISONERS.
Monkey much like dogs will accept clothing, belongings, and gear as part of their identity within their circle. Also like us mostly only if their circle accepts and likes it. (positive comments help this behavior along in both species)
If you love a monkey you love it forever. Never give it up just as you would never surrender your pet or it is insane to even think , Your child.
THIS IS EXACTLY WHY WE SHOULDNT TAKE BABIES FROM MONKEY MOTHERS. They ARE like us so much so that we can anticipate and recognize their emotions.
If you love something LEAVE it free, if it isn't free, liberate it! If it sees liberation as a choosing a life with you, honor it by giving it your entire life and effort as you would for your own human baby child.

This is a difficult one. Without a doubt, anyone that exposes and highlights abuse on a channel is doing a good job, but at the same time there are definitely people out there who falsely accuse channels of abuse in an attempt to seek attention.
There is a channel based in Indonesia that has had a person accusing them for 2 years now. The accuser has never proved even a single instance of abuse and the channel has never been taken down.
I keep putting it to the accuser that either the channel is NOT abusive or the accuser is no good at what she does. It has to be one or the other - or maybe both!
Accusation of animal abuse is a serious matter and nobody should be accusing if they aren't willing to offer proof.
