      geelong of 2007 could have beaten the lions at there best..and even westcoast of 2005

      @@lukepittle8961 no mate a lot of chance actually , in 2004 we beat the lions in the home and away season and very narrow ally lost a preliminary final with a team of young players that weren't even developed yet,, so the geelong of 2007 to 2011 would have beaten Brisbane I'm very confident of that ,

      Yep even with the Hawthorn 3-peat, that lions team was mega, just so much talent on every ground position.

      Wouldn't necessarily classify them as modern era anymore, knocking on to a quarter century ago. Hawthorn and Richmond would take the "modern era" claim.

      Not with all of the advantages they were afforded. Hawks did it in the era of COLA without these advantages

      @@darrenbaker6019 People may argue that the compromise draft helped hawthorn. I don't prescribed to that argument. But some people do think it helped them

    That was the moment when North Melbourne ceased to be an elite team. It’s amazing how one player single-handedly destroyed the culture of a winning football club.
