- “Local Legends” features 83-year-old Lolit Alejo as she prepares Cavite City’s most popular and sought after rice cake "bibingkoy". The program also looks into how Alejo set the standards in making the rice cake. She shares the importance of being true to her mother’s teachings and recipes after the helm of Aling Ika’s Carinderia was passed down to her. Alejo then shares how she learned to prepare the popular delicacy, and explains why she strictly manages her finances. Customers and locals attest to the rich flavor and the consistent taste of Alejo’s bibingkoy. Later, food writer Ige Ramos explains why he considers Alejo as a local legend.

Nanay Lolit is very pleasant and very natural :) she reminds me of my Lola :)
Whenever I go home to Cavite City from Canada, I never fail to go to Aling Ika's carinderia to eat bibingkoy. Their pansit luglug and pansit puso are also good!
Rest in peace po lola.

Jim dela Cruz Vera yeah I never heard of that
Sa Cavite City lang po meron nyan.
...
Parang galapong
Pwede bang pure tagalog nalang dun. parang ang sakit sa tenga nang ganitong, pag kain pilipino ang finfeatures dito tapos more on english mag narrate.
Older than mochi of Japan? Really. I don't think so.
