KOREA VLOG | gangchon rail bike, nami island, petite france, garden of morning calm [ROAD TRIP EDT]

- HELLO and welcome to this vlog !!!!! WAH I took super long to edit this and honestly was quite torn about what to include... bUT I decided to include more footage just becos it was really pretty!!! I hope y'all enjoy it... I really tried to keep my hands steady on this day HAHA I was pretty tired cuz we had to wake up at 6AM to get ready (the tour bus picked us up at 8:15am from a bus stop that we had to walk to)
HONEST OPINIONS:
Nami Island and Petite France are WAYYY nicer in like autumn or winter (I've been before!), and really, one visit is enough hahaha there isn't really much to see in my opinion! If you're planning to go in Summer, I'd advise you to give Petite France a miss simply because it is too hot there and there's no shade at all. Close to no cafes open as well (I suspect it's due to Covid-19). There was a really good clown performance tho, we really enjoyed it!! BUTTT still too hot... so go in like autumn/winter instead. However!! Nami Island is must-visit spot in Korea as it was a filming site for "Winter Sonata", and it's also just quite pretty. The trees provide shade and there are many cafes/restaurants that you can cool down in or even get a cold drink to go!
My top 2 favourites were Gangchon Rail Bike Park and Garden of Morning Calm. I suggest going earlier in the day for both of these attractions.
1. it's cooler to cycle in the morning at the bike park!
2. you can take better pictures at the garden
The bike park is really fun and interesting, I enjoyed it thoroughly despite it being my second time there! If you're going with your partner, you can top up 10,000 won for a private rail bike (very worth it!), also so you won't get pressured to cycle faster/slower by the other people that you're cycling with hahaha. As you can tell from the video, that garden of morning calm was truly truly beautiful and I wish we had spent more time there!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND going! I missed it out the last time I went to Korea but I feel like if I had to choose just one of these places to go to, this would be the one.

hii! its rly not tiring! in my video we paddled a bit too much so we were always speeding down the slopes😅 but a little bit of paddling here and there is enough to keep you moving :)

there are quite a few parts where u sont have to pedal as its downhill! most of the time we were js cruising aso hahaha

hi yes it is!! don't worry there were a few people riding solo when i went and they didnt experience any problems :) you may have to pedal a little harder but it will be manageable;)
