    This is not how these are completed anymore. It's a much more automated process. CNC Lathe's now turn the rods with G-code programming. Power tools now do all the torque as well.

    where would I find the load specifications for each cylinder?

      +Jack Olivas Its relatively easy to calculate, as force = pressure x area.
      Find the cross sectional area of the bore (Pi x r^2) then multiply that by the pressure to give you a force.
      If you have a double acting cylinder, there is less force on the return stroke, because you have to subtract the cross sectional area of the rod from your calcs.
