great vid! just to be the smart ass: when your dustcap is tight, water can't actually go into the first stage as a result of purging the second stage while washing. It's like pushing a drinking straw (hose) into a glass of water while putting a finger (dust cap) on top.
Great thoughts on maintenance. What do you think about using those little pony bottle gauges instead of those full size ones with that setup? Seems like avoiding the 6" hose and screwing directly into the 1st stage is one less potential failure point. I understand people might have a problem reading them, but I have good close vision and it doesn't bother me at all. In fact I was using one as my primary SPG (recreational rig) for quite a while (on a 36" miflex hose going to my wrist). PS: sound quality is awful. Get a lav mic, or use a shotgun mic, røde, hang something from the ceiling, etc.
I think you should store the first Stage without a cap, so it can dry open at the air. if you screw a cab on it the water can't dry out of the first stage in the case of water contact before you close the stage. isn't it better without screwing a cap on it? to check the O-ring I can use hey eyes...
You mentioned a link to the CZcams video about using cave line instead of a zip tie to secure a mouthpiece, but I don’t see it in the show notes. Do you mind sharing the link again?
your wrong, The second stage rig, has a poppet valve that prevents water from backing into the air supple line that comes from the first stage. so yes, you can wash the 2nd stage in water without any problem of water getting the first stage. from the 2nd stage.

Fantastic video as always, cannot wait to see what comes next!

HI Lars, the gauges you mention have a great tendency to "spit out" their glass when preasurized. I have some pretty bad expiriences with them.

MrJamesmbernard The video is called “tackling”
Bitte, Please make more vids on maintenance & servicing.
So you're trying to advance your own P.A.D.I. thing? Nice!

Thanks. By far not all of them - so better safe then sorry - especially on "generalized recommendations" :-)
The audio is just coming from the left side.
The Mic is on his left side, so, ya, makes sense... :-P
@@ChrisEpler No it doesn't he's talking into it from the right
Verbindung über den Mars steht.
dude I know you have the potential to make a better video with improved overhead camera and more scripted notes
Ich verstehe einfach nicht warum man eine deutsche Beschreibung und einen deutschen Titel nutzt und dann englisch spricht.
