In Phantasy Star online episode I & II on GameCube, there's an Easter egg chao appearance in one of the missions called, "the fake in yellow". Using the Gameboy machine, you can transfer a legit Tails Chao to a sonic adventure game. (The only official way to unlock the Tails character Chao in the West)

I would add these extra tidbits to the following games: SADX: Cream and Cheese have a small cameo flying around the overworld, sometimes the camera follows them for a bit Advance 3: because of the pair mechanic, the other characters can team up with Cream and their special ability makes Cheese turn into the character's color in order to start wreaking havoc (blue for Sonic and so on)
YES I was waiting for him to mention that bit in advance 3! It may seem like just a kind of cool visual treat, getting the sonic, tails, knuckles, and amy chao rendered as tiny gba sprites, but as a kid this was just the coolest thing in the world to me and most of my time spent playing SA3 was just so I could pair up different characters with cream

Okay, I have to correct myself. I went through every cutscene in Shadow and couldn't find that specific moment (only one slightly close). So... they went out of their way to make an HD Image of Maria getting shot. Wow.
The beauty of Chao is incredible, those creatures are adorable and at the same time badly suffered, cute creatures that have tragic pasts are the best way to create a poetic and touching story! That's also why Sonic stories are so touching, because despite the shōnen side characters have in their look, design and personality, they have also a cute side, they're adorable to watch, that's why it's even sadder when they suffer.
minor corrections: As another user mentioned, Chao make a cameo in Phantasy Star Online episode 1 and 2 for GameCube (it's one of the only ways to get the tails Chao.) Cream is playable in Sonic Battle and uses Cheese the Chao in some attacks. (also not really a correction, but Gamefam who created Sonic Speed Simulator have been known to underpay and overwork their employees, so I probably wouldn't recommend sonic speed simulator.......)
The Minecraft bit goes farther than what you shown. In the separately-sold texture pack, Chao replace certain other mobs. The wandering trader NPC is replaced by the Black Market Chao and his llamas are replaced by the weird green half-fish creature floating in the air via balloon, pulling a wagon full of merchandise. The Sniffer mob is reskinned into some weird primordial quadrupedal Chao with Chaos-like bits on it. Cleric Villagers wear Chao-themed robes. Allays are just straight-up replaced with neutral Chao
I love that Sonic Chronicles had so many unique designs and types for Chao. My favorite Chao in the team was called "Joy" which gave a free heal to the whole party at the start of the turn and was super helpful for HP sustain in boss battles. Spartoi was an instant KO Chao and was super helpful to use when grinding. Ovus is another unique Chao with a special style, too! Overall, super comprehensive overview of Chao in games. Hopefully we see a more prominent role of the Garden come out. I'd love to see Chao Modding on a more current and modern system, with more detailed models that we currently have.

I love playing as Chao in Mechs using Mods in Sonic Adventure. I swear they're so much fun to play as and I just love raising the 3 variants of Chaos Chao too (Angel Devil and Neutral Chaos) along with the Sonic Chao.

Is that an updated rouge chao in the intro? If so, i honestly like it better than the regular rouge chao. Rouge has big ears and her motif is hearts, so this chao fits her better, imo. Her other chao self looked too much like a knuckles chao. Didnt fit her as well. Edit: Saw the full video. Apparently thats the design of the official rouge chao. Very cool!
I believe the group of chao you find in Shadow the Hedgehog is said to be Eggman’s chao garden. I think he tells you that if you go to it with Eggman as your sidekick. Not a stretch since he has another personal garden in SA1

We were looking forward to Poglings which look like chao and are similar game wise but we have heard nothing more for a couple of months. still we have our Chao from Game cube, our oldest chao is 8 and we're trying to get him all S stats.

When they make another full chao garden, theyll 0robably want to change data types to be more modern. Hereby stating my request that they create a chao translator that translates data from older chao games to allow imports into the new chao games, and perhaps full backwards compatibility. 😊

Actually, Chocola never appears in Archie. He exists in Archie as he was mentioned twice in both Pre-reboot and post reboot Archie. But never made a physical appearance in the comics until IDW.
Not sure if someone has mentioned it already but you can play as Cream in Sonic Battle and she uses Cheese in her attacks.
