What exactly do you mean by "dedicated manual mode?" You can simply control transmission via paddle shifters... No need to deactive TCS, etc.. In Canadian models at least.. I have the 3.3t sport with Michelin ps4 tires and the grip is absolutely on point. They are dedicated summer tires of course..

My wife hand the 2.0T as loaner while her 2018 G80 Sport was being serviced. I was a bit disappointed it was just the 2.0T thinking "man this thing must not be that fast". Holy hell was I wrong! This thing is fun as hell to drive and I use to own a 2017 Camaro 2SS. Call me crazy, but if I had my 2SS and the G70 in my driveway right now 9x's out of 10 I would be drawn to drive the G70. Woot woot! I am so happy as I said in my comment on the interior review video that Genesis FINALLY gave you a G70 press car to review. I know that you have been chomping at the bit to get one. I am sure after this you will try your best some more to get the 2.0 T with manual to review. Someone who appreciates being able to drive a car and not be driven by a car (as manual lovers like to say) that is on you list. Probably not many press cars in that spec provided since most manufacturers try and provide their top end trim cars for automotive journalists to review.
I am a fan of this car and the one you are driving is absolutely gorgeous in that blue with the dark chrome, black leather seats with red stitching. Practically how I would spec one if I could. But as you know I still would lean Stinger GT for the versatility, I just like the idea of a sportback car.

IDK sharp throttle response. Being more sensitive doesn't mean sharp. They used mapping that causes the power to come on sooner with less pedal travel, but the flip side is mashing the pedal to the floor has smaller increases in power, since it maxed out at 50% pedal travel anyway. I wouldn't call that sharp. Is that engine durable? It's still a Hyundai product. In that price range, IDK. I hear that Hyundai gives ppl a hard time about warranty repairs, which makes the 10 years warranty moot. At least the Lexus IS350 F sport lets you bounce off the rev limiter and shift how you want. I'm not excited about a Hyundai in-house trans.
Do some research before talking nonsense. It's RWD biased. It will fish tail no problem. It's fun. Better than all these FWD biased BS vehicles out there. So I'll give it that.

Looked at these vs. the compatible priced 330i and A5 Sportback in April. Features wise this wins easily. Dealerships are still Hyundai and I know that’s not a deal breaker, it needs to be mentioned. Interior still isn’t as roomy as a 330i or the A5 and quality, while nice, isn’t either. Tech is very Hyundai and it’s just a hard pill to swallow knowing it’s the size of an Elantra with the same tech for twice price. Ended up with the A5 for a couple reasons and ended up being less expensive and just a bit nicer inside. Also the resale on the A5 is the best of the bunch, having owned a 3 series and A5 before. After this is facelifted it will be much more competitive!
