- I have been given permission by Grant Hanlen to share his footage that he filmed back in the late 80s in New Zealand. This is a look back at classic trucking Kiwi style with Kenworth W-Model, Mack Superliner, Foden and International T-Line to name a few. Filmed mainly on the Napier Taupo Road, North Island, New Zealand. You can see some great company's represented in this footage with more to come, I hope you all enjoy, a big thank you to Grant and turn the speakers up!
Thank you, this is awesome! My late koro (grandfather) is driving the brown mack 10mins 2 secs, he even tooted the horn twice how i remember 🤩🤩🤩
Thats awesome
As a curious kid fascinated by trucks, buying nz trucking magazines back in th 90's and cycling all over Auckland just to watch trucks on site. Yep. Watching this video made me remember what gave me the inspiration to do what I love doing today. Hopefully I'll own a V8 Superliner One day. Barrp Barrp.
The little pull up to Tarawera. These old beasts doing it just as well as the big boys today.
Love the sound of jake on the ERF cattle truck . Nothing beats the different variety of makes and configarations of kiwi trucking its awesome!

Look how all the car drivers are patient, not like the muppets in today's world, miss dem days.
Que hermoso vídeo Clásico
Man I love that black Superliner coming up @ 15:55. I always wonder why over here in America the logs/pulpwood trailers are loaded with the majority of the weight on the drive axles instead of being spread over the length of the trailer like the trucks in this video. Great video!
That was part of the 1987 special limited world cup. Mack done a ultra liner an midliner models that year they were all black an loaded with all the extras
To anyone who understands,I passed him on the Titi,he got past me on Dillons hill,I hit 130 on The Mad Mile.Napier Taupo Rd.
