The Game Every Classroom Needs

- It's no secret that elementary students LOVE playing games. They get so excited about the smallest things. Teachers love that they can use their student's excitement to spiral review or reinforce new concepts.
Today I am sharing with you one of my favorite games that I implemented in my classroom. Not only is it super simple to set up, you probably have everything you need to create the game in your classroom already!
Kaboom is a great time filler, math station, and partner game that you can use with just about any subject, and any grade level. Let me know in the comments below what games you play with your students to get them excited about learning!

I loved this idea. So for the whole class of lets say twenty kids… if we divide kids into four person groups. We need a set of five. Right?
I am going to definitely make this for my class. I know that my competitive students would love it. I can already hear them groaning when KABOOM is drawn.
Yes!! They get so mad when they draw a KABOOM stick. It's so funny to watch.
This would be a great strategy for parents to engage with their learners at home for learning their math facts.

Marcy How do kids know they answered KaBoom Correctly? is the answer on the other side of it? Do they play alone or with a partner?
Hi Shelly, I'm so sorry that I missed this. They play with a partner or with a group of students. I'll have the others solve too that way the one who drew the stick can compare answers. I do not write the answer on the stick simply because when pulling it out of the cup it could be seen.
