I recently heard a therapist say “What you think others think about you, is what you secretly think of yourself” and it really blowed my mind. It just shows that our self image is the most important. At the end what YOU think about YOURSELF is what matters most.

This is for all people but, a lot of Habeshas who are recent immigrants, not 1900's-60's but around 90's to now. Their mental health issues stem from mainly only knowing their closer family members who are in the West. The history of wars back home is the main reason they don't trust or suspicious of other brown people and even other Habeshas at least initially. So they have limited sources to fall to if they have problems and that is how it starts.
