I like to think that AFTER the ending, the police investigation would reveal that Sharon and company were the intended targets and in gratitude, Polanski would cast Rick in a future movie causing the trajectory of Rick's career to take a severe turn into box office stardom.

"Once upon a time" is my favorite magnum opus and Tarantino's finest work. Living and working in Los Angeles area, I had my drive home re-routed two hours out of our way during the filming of "La La Land" on the 105 freeway.
If the same thing had happened to me for the making of "Hollywood" I would have been a lot less aggravated, probably felt honored in a way. And the scene during "Hollywood" seeing the 101 freeway filled with vintage cars circa 1969, was an amazing segment of the movie and one of my favorite bits. Tarantino's amazing flair for detail in making the other cars vintage 50's and -60's was a true time capsule for me from a time when the open road was truly open, and not a congested stop and go mess for 16 hours a day!
So it was very much worth it, to most of us "true" Californians anyway, for Tarantino to shut down those freeways in order to make a bit of history! Considering the final product was 100% better, and just about legendary, compared to the completely forgettable "La La Land".

Match." my expectations, throwing in the most beautiful pitbull as the cherry on top! My daughter, who doesn't care for violence, said this: "Usually, I don't care for gratuitous violence. However, since I know the backstory of Sharon's murder, I would say the violence was . . . warranted."

I made it about 30 seconds into this video before I cut it off. Dude, your voice has got to change.

I thought it was weird although I liked it a little better the second time I watched it but first impressions I thought the ending was weak considering it was supposed to be his last movie he would make

His penultimate movie, not his last one.

If only this movie was historically accurate. Would’ve been bad ass to see a steve McQueen kick the crap out of Manson family.

Why do you talk with such an annoying cadence?

I’m so tired of people venerating Bruce Lee. Yeah, he was a great martial artist but he weighed like 130 pounds. Idc how fast he was or how many one-finger pushups he could do, a modern heavyweight fighter like Brock Lesnar would eat the first 3-4 shots, grab him, and just plain mutilate him.

Exactly. Everyone who complains about that scene is a snowflake.
