- My first hand bag review on the Teddy Blake "Caty" bag.
This video showcases flaws and defects on a bag I ordered from them and the experience I had been having with their customer service.
I am just wanting to give everyone a heads up on what to really expect with this company and the quality of their products.
They like to send their purses to known youtube fashion bloggers/reviewers for exposure to the general public. It seems like they send better quality bags to these people because they never point out any defects or flaws in the purses. Rather, they always rave about how beautiful the bags are.
There are very few videos on youtube of people that point out the imperfections in the bags.. and I've noticed these are people who have actually bought the bags and purchased them as customers.
I am one of those customers lol and I happened to receive a very bad bag.

Candise Forde you’re very welcome ❤️ have you tried looking into other brands? Many people love Ainifeel and other Amazon brands. I also bought a bag from Fashion Drug that was much cheaper and pretty comparable in the quality of the leather.
CJ in SoCal I’ll have to look into those! I had a coach bag but the straps ripped and the repair cost is a little high. So I was looking at other options (teddy Blake), but I’ll definitely look into your recommendations !

Most bags I've seen from teddy Blake has the logo on the lower front of the bag. I didnt see the product name anywhere. The protective bag even looks different.
It looks like a knock off bag to me.
Thank god a non biased review there are like a thousand amazing reviews of these bags because they are sent a free bag that looks amazing! But I had doubts.
I bought a Teddy Blake bag and it was in pristine condition. The hardware is beautiful and I am very satisfied with my purchase. I'm sorry if you had a bad experience.

True...I just got one based on a CZcams review. It was priced in the coach range but not coach quality...shabby stitching.
Update.....I bought another one that is great.
I’m a nobody, and I got a beautiful bag of high quality leather and stitching . I’ve had it 3 years and it’s still in great shape.🤷♀️

O my GOSH! YES, YES, YES! I knw I wasn't trippin, thank u ma'am for clearing that up for me. Thank u for.ur HONESTY! I had no leather smell what so EVER! I sent back the first bag & got another used bag! I gave these ppl $500 of my flippin money & got totally screwed! My lock & key was starting to rust & the threading thru-out the purse was lifted & inside my first bag it had ink pen markings. I wishes I'd seen ur vid 2yrs ago when I got got...😑

I think you have just been unlucky with your bag. I’m just a regular person, not a you tuber, and I ordered an Eva bag last year. The bag is beautiful, very well made. Found customer service very helpful when I had questions pre purchase. I have used it often and is still in excellent condition. Hopefully your replacement bag will be better. Anne😄
Glad things turned out okay for you. Not so much for me. $500 bag came in tattered. Then they charged me a restocking fee which was ridiculous.

Sorry to hear about your experience. I bought an Eva in taupe bag back in 2018. I’ve only used this a couple of times for travel mostly. The bag has hold up for me but I would say that there has been one loose stitch on the flap at one point which thankfully I was able to repair. And looking at it now my only concern was on the handle there has been a little peel off on the edge coating.

I do not get that they are sending the best bags to influencers because I ordered with no problem. My bag looks great the stitching is fantastic. I really believe as humans we have to expand our minds.
Teddy Blake is mass production, of course, you are not going to get super perfect detail as a Hermes bag, but the idea is affordability and they are going to sell more bags which means mistakes can happen on any order even on high-end Hermes as well.
If you do not feel your bag is up to the part you can always go to the online chat and express concerns or get a refund and move on or try another style. Not everyone is going to like their quality then it might not be for you and that's okay. I am a regular person, my bag is fine and there are millions of other stories like mine. Let's stop saying influencers get the best sometimes it's the luck of the draw on any order as well.
i did give them a second chance and asked for an exchange. they ended up sending me a second bag with stitches and hardware falling off in different places. i made a small series of videos showing this.
i wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt but in the end they still dissappointed. this was just my full personal experience with their product and their company.

How do we know that you are reviewing a real teddy Blake bag? The dust bag that you take the hand bag from did not have teddy Blake name on it.

loml143 yes definitely do as much research as you can before investing. there are other companies that have similar products. Fashion Nova is one, but i haven’t bought any of their bags yet so i cant really compare the quality with Teddy Blake.
Ive bought an Ainifeel bag in this same style from Amazon.. but that was a horror story in itself which led to the purchase of this bag lol Ainifeel bags are much cheaper and are very well put together, but the quality of materials are not as good as Teddy Blake to be honest.
I plan on doing a comparison video between Ainifeel and Teddy Blake.. whenever the new bag from Teddy Blake arrives *sigh*

Same here CZcams is either the best nothing happens or it's the worst experience and you shouldn't get it. People have to take a chance don't just take her one review look at more decide yourself. I
Exactly, I've owned my Katy bag for over three years now. She's in gorgeous condition and the quality is incredible. If you have an issue with the bag, exchange it.

I love Teddy Blake bags .
I ordered a Caty from Teddy Blake. The leather quality was awful. It was a long, aggravating and convoluted return process and I felt like they were just looking for a way not to allow the return. They did give my money back but the bag was not worth the price. I also ordered an Eva and it is gorgeous and I've been happy with it. However, I think if you just want the fun look of a Birkin inspired bag, there are less expensive options out there.

@@CJinSoCal Good luck! The bag in your video *was* gorgeous (color, etc.) despite the issues. Perhaps their quality control will improve as they become a bigger company.
You can always ask the post office for a return receipt. That means when the package gets there someone at the company has to sign for it. Then you have proof it got there.
I cant believe I bought this bag, its falling apart and made poorly ! I am very upset with this brand and I will be talking with my bank regarding all my evidence regarding teddy blake !

I've had 3 bags and never have had an issue. Yes I'm a CZcamsr but I am being honest.
Wished I had watched this before purchasing the bag. I was so bitterly disappointed and had the same issues as you did.
Thanks. I almost bought them. It only takes one really bad review forme not to buy. I recommend Senreve, Gigi NY, Tory Burch and Kate Spade for the same/similar price range bags

@@CJinSoCal i have the mini maestra, the quality is top notch! The only thing i can say abt this bag is it feels like its tilting fwd when i carry it on my shoulder due to the strap being located right behind the bag, so i often found my bag hitting and bumping into things. But carrying it crossbody fixes that problem

How did you like it? I just bought a teddy blake and I'm pleased with the quality and craftsmanship.
I suspected what's going on by the type of influencers they promote on their website. Nothing against them, it's not that, it just gave me an image of what the brand is going for, and their practices. (Similar to Fashion Nova's).
In that same price range, Furla is a brand I can wholeheartedly recommend! I only have a wallet and a bag from there but I wear them every day and it still looks brand new (I damaged my wallet with hand sanitizer a little bit, but that's all, that was on me)
The quality of teddyblake's handbag is terribly bad

yes i totally agree.. its like 4-5 times more expensive than ainifeel depending on the “sale” that is happening on TB lol and shipping/exchanges/returns are very easy and quick on amazon compared to TB (which was like a 3 month process for TB 😫) i wanted to keep this bag so bad honestly, but the price and those defects 👎🏼 sigh

I’m disappointed with my caty gold ‘14. The color in person looks greenish. Brown-green actually, but Leans more on the green shade. There’s beauty in it, but in the long run, you’d feel it’s even expensive for its price. TB is overrated!

#TeddyBlake seems to be misleading consumers intentionally. "Handmade" is not the same as "hand-stitched," which they don't likely do-the estimated labor costs alone are too high for them to sell the bags at their prices and yet make a reasonable margin of profit. And their return policy seems like a strategy to get around their legal obligations. If your product's quality materially diverges from your advertisement, then you are responsible for all of the cost associated with the return, including the price of insurance to make sure that your client receives their full refund. It's a simple concept, but I suppose you might not grasp it if you're #shadyAF.

I own the 14 inch Black Crocodile Caty bag and it is gorgeous. Ya'll have no idea about the bags out there like the Coach bags that are now 600 and 700 now. I would never pay that for Coach bag that doesn't have quality leather anymore.

the fact that both the bags they sent me was literally falling to pieces was just frustrating, and the associate in contact with me was not straight forward in answering all my questions.
after this video, i proceeded with exchanging for the same bag in hopes of receiving a better quality bag. i wanted to give this company a second chance. unfortunately, the second bag they sent me was in even worse condition than the first bag.

after all this, it just was not worth me keeping this bag. it was absolutely heartbreaking because i loved the bag so much, but i just couldn’t justify keeping it when they kept sending me bags that were poorly constructed.
