Hypercar Top-Speed Acceleration Comparison | SSC, Bugatti, Koenigsegg, Hennessey

- A side-by-side comparison of top-end acceleration during the most recent top speed runs by SSC North America, Bugatti, Koenigsegg, and Hennessey. All runs are synchronized at the 200 mph mark, after which each vehicle is assumed at full throttle to overcome aero-drag factors to achieve top speed. Videos are paused each time the SSC Tuatara reaches the top speed of a competing vehicle, comparing the difference in time and difference in distance that the respective vehicles took to reach the speed.

The Koenigsegg did pretty well despite only having 1250 hp. Also older than the rest. I can't wait to see how the Jetsko would do?
I don't like Bugattis but the Chiron is also pretty impressive because it's so much heavier than all of these. It's almost 2 tons. I guess that huge W16 helps with this.

the ssc and Hennessy have my money on the fastest car
I think they are still doing a lot of tweaking on the F5. It's final form should be way faster than this. The Agera RS and the Chiron is quite old compared to the other two but their speed is still very impressive but the Tuatara seems to be the king right now. However Koenigsegg is coming out with the Jesko which might give it a run for it's money.

P.S. I'm not trying to shit on anyone I'm a big fan of all of these cars and their manufactures, just speaking from an objective pov

It's been 4 months since you guys hit 295. If you keep posting contents like this, F5 or Jesko will smack your Tuataras ass and you are well aware that they can do it. Instead do the top speed run or atleast 500kph before they do. We know you guys can do it but there's no reason for you to poke other companies which are waaay superior than yours.

Seems like the SSC should be faster accelerating since it has way more power than the RS and way less weight than the Chiron SS but up to like 260mph it's dead even

The comparison is not perfect. The SSC was the only one that actally needed to accelerate that hard due to the short track. We can not be sure that the other ones had the boost pressure built up or was going att full throttle. It is lightly that they did, baut we (or at least I) don´t know tht for a fact.
BUT, it is propably the fastest accelerating vehicle of the four if they had the same basis. And it is a beautiful machine as well. The top speed records and fastest acceleration times are of no meaning for the car communityas a whole, but man it is fun to follow.
I would buy your car just based on exterior looks.... Koeneggsegg gets the nod for interior looks.
I bet the Bug would've had a much harder time trying to get to 300 mph if they were on an open track like the others, let alone breaking it. That 5+ mile custom track where they did the 300 mph run shields the car from crosswinds coz of the trees on either side & if the wind was behind the car, it would've even helped it go that fast. SSC needs to get their game on to officially break the 300 mph average before anyone else does...

This is epic for sure. I think if it gone around Bugatti's track it would bounce from the road to the moon when around 250 miles. Totally my opinion though not have any info about suspension system(on Tuatara). But it's made with racecar mentally not ultra high-end like Bugatti.

Let us hope this is a sign of SSC doing an attempt to break 300 + MPH top speed on a longer runway. The way the Tuatara accelerates up to that crazy speed is insane. It would’ve hit at least 310 MPH if the runway was extended.

They lied that Dewetron validated the data but in reality Dewetron didn't do any validation for the data. They would have went on with the record if they weren't called out. They have no other option now to accept that they didn't reach 300mph. All these indicate only one thing, SSC faked that test! End of story!
