Is The Spaghetti from The Bear actually good?

- The staff of The Original Beef wanted Mikey's spaghetti for family meal. Carmy did his own thing. I'm here to find out which is better.

[Ingredients]
Mikey's Version:
- 5 Cloves Garlic, minced
- 125ml Olive Oil
- 5-10 Basil Leaves
- 28oz can Crushed Tomatoes
Carm’s Version:
- 5 Cloves Garlic, peeled
- 5-10 Basil Leaves
- Crushed Chili to taste
- 125ml Olive Oil
- 1 Onion, halved and peeled
- 60g Butter
- 28oz Can Tomato Puree - Jak na to + styl
the money coming out the can was the dealbreaker for me to hit the like button
Next time cook with the money included to give it a rich, pulpy texture
Don't forget, Carmy was a sous chef at a three Michelin star restaurant, not just a sandwich cook.

Italians don’t use a lot of garlic. Eva of Pasta Grammar can attest to that. She cooks with 1 clove of garlic in her red sauce and she fishes it out after it turns fragrant in the pan with olive oil

I saw a video with Matty and Coco making the pasta sauce, very similar to what you did with the onion, but first put it in with oil butter.
This was great, found myself debating why carmen didnt follow the note as well as the whole onion thing. The basil oil was really not clear from the show and internet so i ended up burning the garlic 😅 will try again with your way!
lol @ the cash. but i wonder if letting the onions simmer longer in the oil then semi-pulsing it into the sauce would be any good
Most definitely. I'm just not sure how different it would be from cooking minced onions for a shorter time.

What the...WHAT was the chunk??? How??? Why??? Did you feel like your spaghetti had a subtle cocaine flavor? I need the deets!
I dunno maybe there was a slight bitterness but it really helped to balance the sweet ness of the basil oil all i know is that i feel great and I've got a new idea for a business hear me out it's called coffeeshare you know that extra cup of coffee in your pot that you never get to what if a neighbor that passed your house on their commute could pick it up we could make millions and save the planet from wasted coffee!
