I've seen that done a couple of ways, but that right there is a really nice job.. Love the shrink wrap idea 💡 Now I won't have to use putty on the collector.😎👍
Cool idea thanks it's always good to see how somebody does something that way you may learn a new way or just a better way . Looking forward to your next tip thanks 👍
For me, at least three tips for the price of one lol. I had completely forgot about those Tamiya photoetch saws for cutting metal tubing. How you did the drive shaft would also be perfect for the old cherry bomb mufflers which will be going on my current build.
Chuck, I want to understand your thought process on placing a 3D printed motor or a motor from another kit, into a build. How do you make sure it’s going to work? How do you know when it won’t work in your build? Do you ever have to add engine mounts or brackets so it fits correctly for the drive shaft?
Great video and idea, thank you for the tips! P.S. I just use the heat shrink tubing and so far it's been working just fine. I also use the plastic tubing with an aluminum wire inside it (sometimes more than one aluminum wire if needed) to keep it from kinking and collapsing. P.S.S. We watch "this crap" so we can learn new things!
Chuck really like that collectors how to been making headers from Solder and copper wire for years but they all dumped into a single tapered tube not 4 into 1 I think yours are mo realistic I have always thought mine to be pretty cool but yours are Bitchen
@@chuckymonster1000 Your right Chuck. But I can't get around well enough to do that kind of shopping for parts. Wish I could. I feel that there would be a specific size for 1/25 & another for 1/24. I'll keep looking around I guess. Thanks again man
Hey chuck, do you have an email? I would like to share something with you about header collectors. I think would be very helpful to you. Thanks. Great video.
I click because the title said how to make headers..You DIDN'T show to make the header or say what material was used. For me the info on the collectors was great, headers were a NO-SHOW.
Look…… every kit is different you have to figure out how the bends are gonna fit your model. This is why we are using soldering wire because it bends easy.Again….. reference your kit. This is why it’s a NO SHOW lol.I hope your getting info out of my channel, and if your not sorry I waisted 5 minutes of your time feel free to unsubscribe take care.

Very cool Chuck. The Lill Coffin is looking awesome. Ron
Thanks Ron
Very cool!
The Little Coffin is looking good.👍
Pretty badass that your sharing your building tricks!🍻
Thanks David
I’ve been baffled on collectors a long time. This helps out a lot! Thanks for sharing this tip! 😎👍🏾
No problem
Solder and shrink wrap, your a genus. Thank you for sharing this video.
Lol no problem
@@chuckymonster1000 what do you use for header flange and what type glue to glue solder

Thanks for the excellent crap. Very nice tips. Love the two piece driveshaft. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks
Great video! Watched the whole thing! I have no idea what a header is xD nice looking plague marine in the background and the car looks amazing too!
Thank you
Hey Chuck that's some bad ass crap thanks for sharing peace out brother stay

Great tip Chuck!!!! Thanks for sharing
Looking good man great tip,, I'm gonna try it,, Glen
Thanks bud
Nice idea about the shrink wrap.
Thanks
Cool tutorial on making headers/collectors. Thanks Chuck.
Thanks bud
@@chuckymonster1000 You made it almost worth watching this crap! lol
Thanks for the demonstration. Thats a great idea on how to make the collector.
Thanks Alan

I mock my builds up with white glue, then fabricate mounts, driveshafts etc
That's a great Tip Thanks.
No problem
Nice tip Chuck!
Thanks mark
Great tips. Thanks.

Awesome tips bro, I’ve been wanting to do a driveshaft like that, maybe on my new project
Absolutely easy to do
Pretty cool tip, Chuck. What size soldering wire is best for headers?
genius!
Thanks lol
Thx for the tip never have enough how toos never to old to learn
Thanks

How do you attach to heads? Drill holes?
How do you attach the headers to the engine? Also, how do you bend a collector for a 90° bend at the end?
I make a header flange and drill the head
Great info. What size solder do you use for your headers?
Take care,
Rick
Usually .062
I watch this crap thinking I would get diameters of solder & the aluminum tubes. But again no real technical info, just nice ideas. Thanks man
Real easy .062 just ask
It also depends on what scale 1/24 1/25
By the way you also should have the kit headers to reference the size you need. Lol

What did you use for header flange
I used a pc of styrene plastic cut it to size and shaped it
Easy peasy
Ok, I'll take it back on the material for the headers, but not how they were shaped.
