- I love it to fly drones and shoot cinematic footage of the awesome landscapes in the mountains of Switzerland or anywhere on the planet. But flying drones is tricky, especially in manual mode with an FPV drone like the DJI Avata.
I learned it the hard way and I guess, I'm still learning...

Nice, glad you got one of them back! I lost two drones this year… and did search & rescue missions for both, but didn’t find them.

Well done Andreas! You are definitely living up to your own words - "filmmaker & adventurer". Who would have thought that FPV drone flying would lead to hanging by a line off the top of a drop like that? Anyway, that's a very nice video accompanied with great story telling. I had just noticed you had published a new video and started watching immediately. I was enjoying it a lot but then almost fell off my chair when my name popped up! That's the first time I have been "mentioned in dispatches". And now you almost have more Avata drones than you know what to do with! Pity you couldn't rescue the Air 2 also - that would have been the icing on the cake. :-)
Thank you so much Clive! Yeah it definitively was an adventure. Looking backwards to it, I'm happy, but there were some pretty unhappy moments 😃. Without the help of my friend, I couldn't have done it. Yes, the Air2 hurts. I really liked this drone. Maybe I'll find it one day, but I think the likelyhood is low. Herzlichen Dank! Ja, habe vor ein paar Wochen beim biken das Handgelenk gebrochen. Es geht schon viel besser, aber bei dieser Aktion habe ich zur Sicherheit die Schiene nochmal angezogen, um es zu schützen. Ist aber alles gut gegangen 😃👍. Beste Grüsse von Schwendi
OK, Accu in der Natur lassen ist ein Problem.... ein noch viel größeres ist es, für eine (wahrscheinlich geschrottete) Drohne sein Leben auf`s Spiel zu setzen.

Absolut. Mein Leben würde ich dafür nicht aufs Spiel setzen 😉. Aber ich finde, man sollte zumindest probieren, was machbar ist. Vielen Dank fürs Schreiben und beste Grüsse
yeah low batt is not good to fly. same for own build FPV drones. be carefull.
