She quite clearly took a stand, and that was the stand of choice. She said that hijaab is a matter of choice, if one wants to wear do it, if one doesn't then she wouldn't wear. You aren't a stakeholder when it comes to decide clothing of some other person. That was a knockout punch on far right terrorists by nikhat.

Good luck to her...But she wasted a golden chance to say that she is true Bharatiya, and taken a stand against oppression. I was disappointed to hear her answer! She said it's a "choice". She should have said straightaway that it's a patriachal oppression symbol and one should not wear it..period. Here 'choice wala answer is a typical woke answer. Now my worry is that she will take up all liberal causes being in the limelight and trend towards wokeism..which is a disease. Unlike other achiever like the badminton team, chess champ pragg etc who are more truer to Indian ethos.

Hijab is not a religious issue? Very funny.
On March 11, 2002, 15 young girls were left to die in a fire at their school in Mecca. They could have escaped the fire but were not allowed to flee the burning building as they were not wearing proper hijab. Saudi Arabia’s Religious Police prevented the Civil Defense Officers from entering the school to save the girls and stopped the girls from coming out of the building.
