Water was overhyped. It was lacking lyrically, vocally, and sonically and it wasn't aligned with her whole 'empower South Africa' movement; save for using the amapiano sound and the choreo stuff. I feel like since everyone is treating 'Water' as her best work ever, this may stunt her growth as an artist as she might be pressured to create something along those lines so as to please the public and get another hit. I want her to find her sound and experiment with her artistry cause she is talented.
@@happypeeingdoyoung Well that is how the mainstream music industry world works unfortunately. Through Tiktok "water" became well known and pushed into into overdrive even though it isn't Tyla's best work. We know what she is capable of and she is versatile enough to have to deal with it all. She has the talent and her true fans knows her capabilities. As over-played as "Water" is/was, it has introduced Tyla to the world. Now the whole world is getting to hear/see her other awesome music/videos.
