For example when you stop your skis it will be better if your skis are together meaning a easier more effiecent stop. Another example is when turning when your skis are parallel its like cutting through the snow which makes you turn faster and better.

Schoolmarm is such a great way to warm up. Gotta stay to the sides, esp when the snow isn't plentiful. But the sides always have good snow to ski. Safe travels
I feel like Keystone is a more legit opening day. A-Basin's opening run is pretty short in comparison so it feels like a technical win. It's hard to complain about 2 miles of Schoolmarm - and it is a run that mere mortals can ski down. I hope Keystone opens more runs quickly - makes sense to open Spring Dipper since they both go to Montezuma and it splits the traffic so not everyone is on Schoolmarm. Doing a mid-week opening is nice since all the normals (like me) have still have a day job can't come until the weekend. I'm also hoping they open Scout soon - I want to get my wife out there soon.

You look like you're obviously hauling pretty good down the green slope. We're fairly inexpereinced East Coast skiiers. Is it possible to maintain a slower speed with minimal difficulty if you so choose? We have a trip planned but are hestitating based on our skill levels (skiied about 5 times). Plan to do a few pracitce trips on East Coast beforehand just to try to iron some things out...

Yeah I agree! A Basin is just a race to say they open first but keystone definitely has the better skiing.
