That girl did not like that eyeball but she couldn’t disrespect Alvin 😂
The power of being a world master chef
lol
The eye imo is one of the best part of the fish but idk if the raw eye taste the same as the cooked one
@@fukaze2021 fish head was fried
We usually had a Super crunchy fried eyeball .. that eyeball she ate doesnt look like what we usually eat 😆
I feel like Jennifer did NOT want to eat that eyeball

5Peace09 LAU Shun Ting Shawn K.
She swallowed it whole lmao
Me too
The eyeball of a fish tastes like its belly
mad respect to Jennifer for eating the eyeball without hesitation. that is pure respect for alvin. love to see it
how come that's pure respect, u don't want to eat smthng, u say no, it's the 21st century
@@srt4853 She says no, she gets out of the competition the next minute
@@srt4853 well chef Alvin was honouring her and she as a mature woman did the right thing by respecting his wish and eating it. It's very hard to impress the demon chef so she must be into something, no wonder she won the whole thing. Y'all act like just because it's 21 century no one can do anything to you or blah blah but even if she didn't wanted to eat it she showed her respect by accepting the honour which is a sign of a gentlewoman.
@@sanaxoxo y is there a rule like that?
@@srt4853
It's respecting Alvin's cultural background. In some Asian cultures, it is honored to have dibs at the eye.
U respect the culture that someone is from instead of being judgmental, you prove you are a kinder person than a good many
She asked "are you sure" not because she was trying to be humble, but because she didn't want to eat it
Lmao yess
Lol
Exactly. It was a last attempt to get out of it. I would have offered it back to Alvin.
Lol you could see the disgust touching her face when she ate it. I get that it's part of Chef Alvin's culture and all, and my culture too, but personally I wouldn't spring that on someone out of the blue, especially for Westerners who might think it repulsive
Well it’s mostly a compliment in Asian culture, but then again, it’s still an eyeball lol.
"I mean, it's a mushroom. How hard can it be?"
Famous last words.
👏
Was this mushroom girl the one who got eliminated
To be fair, she did not have a hard time indeed.

Jennifer eating the Eyeball just to honor or keep the heart of Alvin really made me respect her alot more.

Asians do eat fish eyeballs

Of all the words exchanged between Chef Alvin and Jennifer, my favorites were “you can float back now.” He’s such a troll lol

And has ginormous eyebrows
From Wikipedia: The judges deemed Jenny and Alyssa's dishes to be the worst two, asking the two ladies to turn in their aprons, and the duo were eliminated as a result. However, the episode ended on a cliffhanger, as the judges announced that their time in the MasterChef kitchen was not quite over...
Thank uu
Chef: “You’re no stranger to musheroom though are you?”
Me: haha if only you knew those magical mushrooms hit differently 💫🌚🌝🍄
this show is just so canadian. good food, and actually kind judges i love it lmao
Grilling those mushrooms was a big mistake. Yes occasionally they are cooked in a pan but most people who can afford those mushrooms follow a very old recipe that normally involves stewing them in a very very light stock. My grandmother got gifted them once and while I don't know the exact method she essentially poached them for a few minutes at most in a stock of daikon, onions, and a hint of beef before serving them cut into long batons with the broth seasoned with salt and pepper. 9 times out of 10, you hand an Asian person those mushrooms and they wont risk grilling them in harsh heat and 6 out of 10 would probably eat them raw.
She tried to decline with that “Are you sure?” but was unsuccessful 😂🤣
I love Jennifer so much! She’s so respectful, creative and always up for challenges.
Huge respect for Jennifer for eating that eyeball without hesitation
That eyeball though man, i can't stop laughing when I look at her face.
its so romantic when chef michael talks about food
Why we gotta stare at a fish for 7 days :(
I have never seen Alwin so emotional.❤️😭😀 Truly awesome Jennifer!
wait, i watched 3 unskippable ads so they would just stop at the elimination part?
Yeah seriously!
waited for 1 week 🙁
Wot?
Oof
For what???????
How did she keep a straight face while swallowing the fish eye. I would have gagged.
It's actually really good and creamy (know this sounds gross but if the seasoning is good they are great)
When i was 10-11. It was hard for me to even look at it.. Bt it tastes funny..
Because it taste good
It's always the first thing I eat
Fish eye is good when it is fried because it is extra crispy
fish eyeballs, when the fish is cooked right, are tasty as hell. but i get not wanting to eat it if youre someone who has never had it. plus, the eyeball wasnt cooked since she concentrated on the main body. its never that liquidy. so i love the fact that she still ate it so it honoured not only asia but alvin as well.
7 days before premiere woohoo😎
When Jennifer ate the eyeball her face turned a bit wierd that is why probably she asked Chef Alvin if he is sure😄
As a Chef, I gotta say that this was such a Gangsta move for anyone, let alone a home cook. I wouldn't have ever thought to do this on the fly and execute it so well. Beyond impressive IMHO.
5:14
That face 😂
You can clearly see that she didn't want to eat it
One of the things asians hate
1-cooking rice the wrong way
2-wasting food
3- EATING RICE WITH A FREAKING FORK
I’m proud when I follow a recipe and it turns out well...
Couldn’t imagine cooking and having your cooking judged on this level.
She ate the eyeball!! 🤣 Awesome, and you know, she will never ever forget that moment in her life. Good for her!
“Asians don’t want to waste anything….” Interesting. I’m Asian and this is the first time I’m hearing this.
ohh they are all so talented , really inspiring
Eyeball of the fish has the most valuable nutrients.
Such an honor for her to have it...
If I know anything is that it takes a very long time to prep Asian ingredients to make a delicious dish. Maybe that's why they premiered it 1 week in advance
2:46 Watching Jennifer removing fish bones feel so un-Asian cuisine - but this is a good thing as it shows elevation.
Most Asian households and restaurants don't do that, not to mention fish is often cooked whole as opposed to just one fillet. They just kind of learnt to eat fish with bones safely, although spitting out bone isn't pretty!
Admittedly I have not been to true high-class, elevated Asian restaurants (such a rare genre!) though and wonder if they would do any different.
Fish eyeballs was my favorite part of whole fried fish when I was little.
Commented 7 Days Before this video was premiered hii
There were so many elevations that i myself got elevated! 😐
Broooo when she had to eat the eyeball, you can see she was weirded out by it 😂😂😂

Jennifer is an adorable human. Love her
Well, she ate the eyeball and then she won the whole thing!♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Who’s idea was it to premier this video >:| it’s not like we need to wait if it’s ready to upload ;-;
In certain asian cultures, the texture is just as important or even more important than the taste. A smooth, gelatinous eyeball sounds good if you replace the word "eyeball" with "jell-o"!
Chef: *Gets ingredient to make the whole dish around*
Chef: Yea... but what about cauliflower instead?
Lmao...im like dudes an idiot
She FOR SURE DIDN'T WANNA EAT THE EYEBALL I TELL U DAT 😂

We have reality show here in Sweden called “The Farm”. It is what it sounds like, random people living on a farm without modern technology. A few years ago one of the contestants was named Kirsi, not Krissi but similar. She was also a pain in the a** for the others and was not liked by anyone.

Makes you wonder why Chef Alvin's parents never olcorrected his eating method when he was a child. He always looks like he's got a balloon in his mouth with every spoonful
Fish eyeballs are actually so good though
Jennifer's dish was so beautiful and looked so delicious!
