Ward Brothers were a British rock-pop band, who scored a top 40 hit in the UK with their 1986 single "Cross that Bridge". The band have released two albums in total.
A totally lost tune from 1986. I love this song so much. One of the best tunes from my teenage years. I first this song when I was only 17. Perfect days to have lived in.
I was already 22 by then,but good times full of hope for the future! I seem to remember the guitar figure at 1:40 and the end being also prominent at the very beginning on the radio edit,in conjunction with the drums.
I drug out a box full of mixes I made in the '80s on cassettes (!) and heard this very appealing song on one of them but couldn't remember who the artist was. I could tell it was probably called Cross That Bridge so ran a search of that title on YT and here it is! That lead singer's hair! It is indeed like Limahl or a less bizarre version of the Flock of Seagulls lead singer's style, which I tried but failed to pull off one night before going out dancing.
