@@FierceNinja I don't have high hopes given the writing. The ending was just... pure human hubris which they've had on display since Season 1. Everyone in charge is an absolute moron and the characters are insufferable... Sigh. I waited twenty years for this...
Tbh I thought the finale was pretty decent, along with Episode 4/The invasion of Reach (season 2). Kwan is still absolute garbage though. I wish they killed her off in the finale.
"chief, have you ever been scared?" Yes, In reality, chief was honestly terrified of the flood. but chief continued facing them cause he knew the consequences if he had failed his mission.
real. one of the things i loved about infinites campaign is how well the cutscenes actually show how heavy and bulky spartans are. Halo 5 they all felt so floaty and it looked like cheap cgi. the show has been chronically bad about this too. they weigh over 500kg in armor, they shouldn't look lightfooted
Chief is right we all make mistakes its what makes us human, so no matter how many mistakes you have made in your life just remember you are still human and you are still loved because even the bravest of soldiers are scared.
If Cortana didn’t do what she did in halo 4 earth would have been composed by the didact Master Chief failed her by letting it get to that point that she had to self sacrifice herself You should read Or look up a summary on Halo Epitaph it gives a lot of context on what happened to Cortana after she died and entered the domain. She was also being heavily influenced by the logic plague from the gravemind. Another way that master Chief failed her is by allowing her to be captured by the gravemind. She never really recovered from it
Probably referring to the Didact. Maybe if they had made it through together, they would have been able to get through her rampancy and halo 5 would have never happened.
Imagine if TV show Chief was more like this. Just a stoic badass who gets the job done and never leaves a soldier behind. Not some emotional jock trying to chase his traitor girlfriend.
There's plenty to criticize about "Halo Infinite" for sure. However, looking at this scene compared to the TV-series there's one thing I think that's clear: Whoever wrote this scene understands who Master Chief is, and the people who wrote the TV-show do not. Master Chief is stoic, but not inhuman. And he is, more than anything, a symbol of hope when things are hopeless. The TV show tried to "humanize" him by making him basically an overly emotional, immature ragemonger. But there was no need for that. As this scene shows Chief can be stoic without being inhuman. In fact, the contrast between his typical stocisim and this understated moment of emotion makes the scene BETTER, not worse. And Chief isn't constantly disobeying his commanders and just doing his own thing for his own reasons. That's not what's supposed to drive him. He is meant to first and foremost be a symbol of hope for others and carry that responsibility on his shoulders while knowing that he's still only human underneath. So much could've been done with this character if the TV-show had made sure to portray him in the way that this scene does. But they just didn't.
I love how the pilot is just devastated at the loss of three condors and then there’s me playing HW2 losing them left and right cus they’re kinda shit lol
I haven't looked for or watched any Halo content since 2022 and this got recommended to me 😂 Halo Infinite was such a ride. I loved seeing more of the human element of Master Chief come out. We got another regular human ally in the form of Esparza and lastly, we got a new Cortana. The original Cortana will always hold a special place in my heart, but I found myself absolutely in love with Weapon's personality and mannerisms. Weapon was absolutely loveable, and I can't wait to see what the future holds in the upcoming games!
this was my first game, after finishing, i decided to see where atriox came from and i know a little bit, and i've watched the reviews, I'm so exited for the story to continue!
Being a fan since Halo CE, I still have a special place for Cortana, even though she ended up as she did. "The Weapon" may be a "copy," but she is too "modernized" for me. She has a bit of an attitude compared to Cortana (e.g., "...see, he has friends. and the quip she made about MC being a man of action especially when he is killing things, as if this was a bad thing, kind of put me on the side of not liking her attitude). MC's purpose is to do just that - kill things, covenant, banished, or anything else threatening the human race. He isn't Master Cheeks with a soft side; he has a mission and a purpose and is focused on that. The Weapon needs to understand that and step aside and put this touchy-feely crap to rest. MC needs a weapon, end of story.
some say this is the first time Master chief showed humanity on screen but in my opinion the first time he showd us humanity or emotion was when johnson dies how he acted in this moment i didnt had to see his face to recognize his sadness and grief over this.

I absolutely despised Halo 4 and 5 and having recently replayed 4 on MCC that hasn't changed. But I have to give credit where credit is due I really do believe they did an amazing job on Infinite.
It's sad that other Marines, soldiers and others think that Spartans don't get scared or feel fear. Just because they changed their appearances, doesn't make them human. Spartans may be super soldiers but they're still human.

So although I agree, I also have to give him the benefit of the doubt, he is just a civilian that stole a pelican for refuge and tried to act like a pilot the whole time. He's not a soldier, he doesn't have the grit and numbness of a soldier, he doesn't have the experience of a soldier, he's just a guy, stranded on a ring, with his hope of returning to his wife and kid riding solely on one man, one man thought dead for a while beforehand, and one man that was beaten by Atriox before. His fear and frustration is warranted, which is why Chief let him get it out, he understood that just because he can handle it, doesn't mean that someone else can.
