I love that the song critiques the media for putting serial killers on the news or in movies and how they completely over look the victims and their loved ones. Goes well with what the King did in the anime, considering he was trying to justify a war ( which he couldn't win) and completely overlooked the people who would have to pointlessly die in it.
Every crazy lunatic gets their 15 min of fame. I hate the media for what they do.
This goes along with scenes so well. The medieval King started a conflict he clearly couldn't win. Only things keeping him on his throne are his daughter and the people back home.
A large scale war where there have been hundreds of thousands of soldiers killed on one side and zero on the other (Guess which).
I love this anime....actually i love the manga more cause the anime cut out a lot of good stuff.
And this AMV ROCKS
And as you read into the Manga, the "king" is so disconnected that he has no idea what he is fucking with.
Japan could steamroll his nation. But it does not. Meanwhile the US and other nations are working to gain access.
Imagine Russia or the US dealing with this 'world'. it would be a massacre.

Well, the empire killed innocent men women and children for no reason, so of course they will wipe them out
This is one of my favorite amvs. Good job. But something that I would like to see I this sing just with Warhammer 40k.
Can you imagine the fantasy world in GATE encountering the religious and xenophobic human empire in 40k? And i thought the fight with modern humans was one sided XD

The jets they use in the anime look like F4's what would there reaction be to a F22 raptor or a AH64 gunship if we could setup a navel base. but what we really need over in a would like that is Disturbed, metallica and other bands like that Music is the wat to the heart
Or even a stealth bomber or even better a A10 but Japan gets American left overs not bad ones just what has been replaced like the F4 and what I consider the best Attack Chopper AH-64 were.
@@sirius1xz B-52. You don't need stealth, you don't need supersonic speed, you just need a bomb truck with 30 tons of payload capacity (if that will fit through the Gate)

Phantoms are easier to get through the gate because their wings fold, ditto for the choppers.

I haven't seen this Anime but damn if this doesn't make me want to lol not to mention badass Disturbed as always and this did do a fantastic job of making the song fit into it's narrative as well from what I could tell all be it ik the meaning behind the song itself still epic as hell amv tho
The song is about serial killers being glorified at the expense of the families they hurt. In Gate there's a King that sacrifices thousands of soldiers to attack Japan in a brutally one sided fight.. at the expense of the families he hurts, including his own. It's one of the best songs to pair with Gate for an AMV.

Odd to put Itami and the JSDF in the place of a monster, considering the Empire attacked first, with no provocation.
im pretty sure this is about the pure chaos and the legion of monsters in general ....whether it being the JSDF or the monsters themselves
Venficus Infinitum I think it's a song about both perspectives, the Japanese (Terran people in general) saw the otherworlders as monsters, but when the JSDF came through the gate they became the monsters on the other side. Men of green who could kill dragons, wipe out armies, and rule the sky in beasts of metal.
The lyrics are 'You'd give a new legion of monsters a reason to take your life', the empire attacked first, they provocked a opponent superior in army, fire power and war experience. From their point of view, the japanese army is worse than any dragon.
As Leilei said to Pina hime : The Empire walked on a gryphon tail. :D
+Venificus Infinitum I believe, that word "monster" here refers to the sheer strength, something along lines "monster-like power of modern military".
It has nothing to do with morals and ethics.

it's ironic that the Empire Nearly sh-t themselves over Just a SMALL Portion of Japans well trained JSDF forces and that's a country WITH military restrictions placed on it.. Now imagine if they found out there were other stronger military countries out there like Russia, USA, China, for example.. They'd crap them selves especially considering the amount of troops that can be sent, the advanced weaponry, and quite frankly weapons of mass destruction if Need be.. that would be a one sided mass genocide..
