I’ve been watching you for a while but just wanted to thank you. These videos are immensely helpful. I’ve been able to pickup so many good pieces at thrift of brands I’ve never heard of until you featured them. Most recently I was looking at a shirt and it didn’t have a label tag but had a very distinct marking on the back left. Google lens was no help. That very night I was watching the video where you spoke of Kit & Ace and you showed one of their pieces and I made the connection that was the exact marker on the back that was on the shirt I could not identify. Along with so many others. So, thank you.

It is CRAZY how brands sell better for some vs others. I have the worst luck with J. McLaughlin and I find it ALL THE TIME. I had one of the exact dress you showed and I had it listed for a year and gave it away on eBay for $10

Yeah J. Mclaughlin is really hit and miss for me and I usually find it in size medium and up. I have a pair of size 10 corduroy pants in my closet for 2 years, I just relisted it with updated photos so hopefully it moves soon.

I pretty much live in my Birkenstocks year round. I bet I own 10 identical pair. Every couple of years I buy another pair but I keep the older ones too. They just don’t seem to give up the ghost! I keep telling myself to list about half of mine but I’m fond of them. lol
I do own a pair of John Fluevogs and a pair of Timberlakes, but I only drag my boots out when I head to Oregon for a winter holiday -and even then I forget sometimes and just wear socks with my Birkenstocks. 😊
I about to switch to Birkenstocks I think. They just look so comfy!

I just politely say “no thank you” and move on, but it seems like so many of those come from other resellers. What gives?

I cannot get my frame to move 😢 I do have smaller sizes though (they were personal ones). It might be time to reassess them though because they were some of the first things I listed.

Can you do a video on how you started on ebay and the do's and don'ts you would suggest to newbies on ebay. Hi Cayley, thank you for another great video. For the Brahmin bag, how do you prove the authenticity to the buyer? I've never sold high-end brands before.
Is there any way to prove the authenticity?
I'm afraid if it has been sold then the buyer might say it's fake and want to return it. I have Cristian Dior sleepwear in my death pile. I'm afraid to list it. don't know where to start. TIA.
There are many things you can do. But ultimately selling anything designer without a receipt from a verified dealer is always a risk. Here are some things you could do:
1. Pay a service to have it authenticated
2. Send to a site like the real real and have them authenticate and sell for you.
3. Compare yours to other solds that went for a lot (probably authentic)
4. Google how to authenticate the brand you have and check to see if the factors are there.

I don't share all of my expenses because they won't apply to most people but there is a gross profit in there which is fees, shipping, and COGs taken out. I think that's what you're looking for. ☺️
