As a formerly left-leaning liberal that now is leaning more conservative, I completely agree with Vivek here, especially on how dangerous gender ideology is and how it conflicts with the interests of women and the LGB. I am a swing voter. I will vote for whatever candidates whose policies and perspectives match my own beliefs. Right now, Vivek is a very strong contender. He's young, motivated, smart, articulate, and has a clear vision. Many Republicans and many swing voters such as myself will never vote for Trump. There is a lot of evidence; those of us who were witnesses. My cousin came from a foreign country with a visa and was able to vote for Biden in New York. My brother and his wife (registered republicans) didn’t received their absent ballots until two weeks after the election (they asked two months in advance because he was being deployed). In Wisconsin there was a wave of people from Illinois asking for a voter ID with no proof of who they were whatsoever. You can ask for a voter ID in Wisconsin with no documents at all. You get the paper ID regardless of, and you can vote with that paper. And the list can go on.

I think Vivek is a better option just based on the fact that he is very calm when articulating his points and can bring the country together. I am impressed with Vivek. He knows how to talk to people who may have vastly different ideas with decency and civility. I like what I have heard from him thus far regarding domestic social issues and economic issues. I am extremely interested in his thoughts and perceptions of the international topics of the day and what he sees for that future.

Can I ask why you view Trump to be a superior option? Trump was the right guy in 2016 and 2020, but I have very little hope that he can be the one that is optimal in leading us forward. Whether or not it's his fault, he's an incredibly polarizing individual who has not proven to be a very unifying leader considering his disapproval rating upon leaving office. His general electability is shaky at best, not to mention that he will be turning 79 within his first year in office. His cognitive decline is inevitable, and we would be betting that it wouldn't happen in the next 5 years, which I think would be an underdog bet.

I am a swing voter. I will vote for whatever candidates whose policies and perspectives match my own beliefs. Right now, Vivek is a very strong contender. He's young, motivated, smart, articulate, and has a clear vision. Many Republicans and many swing voters such as myself will never vote for Trump. He lost in 2020 and he will lose again if he becomes the nominee. Trump constantly crying about the election being rigged, while being unable to provide ANY evidence to that claim, is just pathetic. I find it inconceivable why anyone would even consider voting for him again.
There is a lot of evidence; those of us who were witnesses. My cousin came from a foreign country with a visa and was able to vote for Biden in New York. My brother and his wife (registered republicans) didn’t received their absent ballots until two weeks after the election (they asked two months in advance because he was being deployed). In Wisconsin there was a wave of people from Illinois asking for a voter ID with no proof of who they were whatsoever. You can ask for a voter ID in Wisconsin with no documents at all. You get the paper ID regardless of, and you can vote with that paper. And the list can go on.

I can see your point, but you have so many Trump fans that I think it would be hard for Trump to not be in the top 2. I think Trump if chosen as the final candidate needs to pick Vivek as his VP. Allow Trump to put him in front of the American people and show them he's a very competent VP (unlike Pence) and could actually be a component President after Trump's last 4 years.

Can I ask why you view Trump to be a superior option? Trump was the right guy in 2016 and 2020, but I have very little hope that he can be the one that is optimal in leading us forward. Whether or not it's his fault, he's an incredibly polarizing individual who has not proven to be a very unifying leader considering his disapproval rating upon leaving office. His general electability is shaky at best, not to mention that he will be turning 79 within his first year in office. His cognitive decline is inevitable, and we would be betting that it wouldn't happen in the next 5 years, which I think would be an underdog bet.
