- Hey party people! Thanks so much for hanging out with me while I share with you two amazing house tours that I have seen since we have been back from vacation! WOOOH the first one I shared with you was my absolute favorite! wasn't it gorgeous?! The decor was top-notch, but not only that the feel of the home and the amount of attention to detail were impeccable. It was truly one of my favorite homes we had seen. I then share with you some of my favorite brownies - so I guess this vlog is full of my favorite things haha! We also took a little trip to a farmers market which was pretty cool too full of homemade things and some veggies, which is the only thing I bought!

I’d change the office into a bedroom and make the sitting room in the main bedroom an office. It was beautiful! Wishing you all the luck finding your dream home xxx
Yup we thought about that too but who will get the luxury bedroom with a garden and fireplace?! Lol we would also lose that living space.. just not for us. Wanted to stay respectful to the home. We also toddled around the idea of adding on- making one of the patios a bedroom but again.. those ladies are so beautiful I wouldn’t want to lose them or ruin them! ♥️♥️ whoever bought that house will love it!
I have 4 kids and 3 bedrooms. Smallest house we ever owned because we loved the land. The kids share 2 and 2. We love it!

Wow whoever decorated the first house has talent! It is so stunning. I would make the office a bedroom and put the office in the sitting area in the master bedroom.
Right they definitely need to pursue a career in design! We thought about all of the possibilities! converting that front room would be a deluxe bedroom with a fireplace and a private garden.. haha and we would lose living space. Which kid would we put there? It just wouldn't be practical. whoever bought the house is loving it just the way it is!

I was thinking avalina (sorry if I spelled it wrong) she would have the cool room all her friends would envy. But I was just saying if you *had* to find a space you could make it work. While the house is stunning I do agree it's not quite right.
I so LOVE house hunting with you, we are landlords and live in the income properties we rent out and our next house will be another income property. Hopefully we will be ready to find our dream home in the next 5 years. So definitely living vicariously through your house hunting videos!
That house is insane!! That master was incredible, and that’s pretty epic that the shared bathroom only has to share a shower. I’ve never seen a Jack and jill where each side has its own toilet!

We walked up and just said… is this a sign?!?! I legit cried when Alex and I were talking about that house and he was not into it. 😭😭… we will find out house soon ♥️

Yes!...this is the house (the first one) I saw when you were on your trip...but alas...4 beds....It's a tough job and so stressful...but I'm confident you will find just the one for your family! And hey,,,,when the Food Network calls you will be able to widen your search!!!!

I'm sold, the picture of the horse on the wall going up the stairs did it for me. I hope and pray you guys get it and since we're best friends I can live vicariously through you. I legit got goosebumps and teared up looking at this house. You have motivated me to do everything I possibly can, save every little bit so I can have my dream home. PS not that I'm ungrateful for the home I have now.

love the first house. Ive read your other comments about not wanting to ruin all the work the other person put in but I think part of fun part of a new house is changing the space to suit your needs!....but I do understand construction on a house with kids is hard work
here's hoping the right house comes along! don't settle for anything less! When I walked into my fixer upper I knew right away it was our house...even with all the work to be done.

Well, sounds like the bar is set! So when you do find a 5BR home that makes you sing like Julie Andrew’s “The Hills Are Alive”, you’ll be so happy that you didn’t settle! Cue the uncontrollable sobbing, I’m-so-happy-that-I’m/ugly-crying tears (you know the tears I’m talking about!)

Love the floors in the house and the kitchen is scrumptious with those cabinets. Oh, heck, love the whole house. The oven! All that outside space, it's like a few more rooms. That master suite with the OTHER outside room and 2 huge closets. At least use ideas that you see. Second house: Those cabinets are fabulous. Plantation shutters. Meredith is so pretty and adorable. All your kids are really good looking. Did you notice that????

That first house had so much character. The second one is beautiful, but much more cookie cutter. You seemed much more excited about the first one.
The first one is certainly where it was at! If it only had one more bedroom. We thought about changing things or adding on but it would just ruin the character of the home. 😭♥️

My heart aches with you, still looking for our dream house and sometimes I just think I should by a next house I see, I am so done. But at the same time I would never invest the money in something I don't absolutely love. Done with my 65m² apartment🥲 I have my fingers crossed for you!

I would do that bottom as the main bedroom for when I had a newborn and use the “closet” as their nursery.
That house sounds perfect. If the lack of one bedroom is the only concern but you live everything else don’t regret.

That first house was gorgeous. But you find the house that's meant for you and keep looking until you find the right one. I've been in my home 20 years and it was never my dream home. I always wished I would have waited and found that dream home. So prayers to you that you find yours.
1st house the downstairs office could be made into a 5th bedroom and in the master upstairs you could turn the sitting area into an office or en suite nursery. Or one of the closets (since i know u and alex both combined dont have enough clothes to fill one of those closets let alone both 😂) the bedroom downstairs with the odd small room could be made into a closet /vanity area for avalina since shes getting older. Also would probably appreciate the outdoor area attached to the room. I really can invision your family there. Its amazing

That was the best tip I’ve ever heard about what creaming butter and sugar should look like. The Food Network should definitely call you!!! Watching you is such a joy. You are a breath of fresh air!
Hack tip! If you run out of brown sugar, make your own by adding molasses to white sugar, stir until fully mixed snd bam, brown sugar!

Kim!! Beautiful (1st house) suggestions to make it work:
The huge downstairs bedroom can be converted- that closet can be made into the extra bedroom; you’d steal some room from the huge bedroom to create a closet. The huge bedroom is big enough to add 2 closets- one for the huge bedroom and one for the little closet/room. The hall closet would be a walk through to get to that closet bedroom and those two bedrooms would share that bathroom but have their own separate bedroom entrances…make sense??
In the master, those closets are so huge that you could share one with Alex and use the second as a temporary nursery for your next baby. The sitting area can serve as your office off your bedroom. You should just make and offer and see what happens. The welcome mat was totally a sigh! Good luck!

I have a friend who says children learn a lot sharing a bedroom growing up. I shared a bedroom with my brother until I went to high school--I learned everyone loves their own space.

an idea.. you liked the downstairs bedroom as a master. you and hubby take that one. make your closet in the little room. give your two oldest girls the master upstairs. they may not need that kind of room now, but as they get older, with that kind of space and having their own closets, i don't think they would entirely mind sharing rooms. that puts all the kids upstairs. this house is by far the most homey feeling, unique without being weird (flamingo? lol)
We thought of all of the possibilities! That downstairs bath is the only one downstairs and that just wouldn’t fly also we feel like we would be ruining the home if we changed uo a bunch of stuff. Whoever bought it is loving it just the way it is!

Recommendation to help: a shopping basket for your home. It's been a game changer! It lives on the doorknob of the back door, I grab it, get everything I need from the various places all at once and it's so easy. (Also added a lazy Susan to my bedside table... Can finally reach everything without knocking stuff everywhere.)

That first house is legit! Get it! The kids can share rooms. Shared rooms are perfectly normal and houses like that are hard to find within budget in today's market. If I were you I'd go all in.🖤
