Cries knowing it is over, but I am happy I can always revisit Derry and catch up with the girls! This show is truly nostalgic, and I'm not even from Derry.
I will forever associate this song with Derry Girls now. I've watched the entire series twice already since season 3 was released on Netflix last month. I already miss it. I wish there was one more season. But hopefully they will do some specials or movies in the (near) future.
Was on vacation from work this week and spent yesterday and today rewatching the whole series again.😁

this is one of the only shows that has ever made me cry. the way it contrasted humourous scenes with hard-hitting stories surrounding the troubles had me emotional at many points throughout the series. so beautifully done, and it will always be a show that i will come back to when i need some comfort.
i live on the other side of the world from my family, who live in northern ireland. watching this show, i couldn't help but feel a great sense of nostalgia and a love for a country i never grew up in. i hope to visit my family one day ❤
When the show ends with the third series, I know I'm gonna cry 😭

I binged this in a weekend and I already want to watch it full through again. It made me nostalgic for a country I never grew up in, during a time I was hardly alive in. I hope to see my own aunts, uncles, cousins and friends one day there, though.

I have no association with Northern Ireland wathsoever, except maybe the fact that I study English and live in Europe, so fairly close to this country. Still, this show felt sooo nostalgic to me, even though I grew up in the 2000's. It portrays the importance of friendship and the struggles with growing up so beautifully, while also talking about an important, heartbreaking and often even forgotten piece of history. It amazes me how the writers managed to bring all that in one show, and I can say that I fell in love with it from the first episode till the last.
