If you use TMex's TOOL mod you can place items on the balcony. Without mods you can still place portable things like grills, loungers and camping items like chairs, fire pit etc.
I mean, that's good right? A lot of people have found the furniture provided by the game to be lacking, so they turned to cc creators who offered better options. If the sims team gets inspired by their cc (because they know that that's what the community likes) then I'm happy as long as they don't outright copy anything

Yeah she realized the candles are in the hidden objects, but not the furniture you can craft. There's MANY things they can craft in this pack. I can't wait to be able to craft all of my furniture. I want to play through this pack starting with absolutely nothing except the container house, but only one empty container then expand it out from there. Being able to make your own candles, furniture, etc is going to make it really interesting.

@@tin4258 Yeah it makes me want to play it in a similar style of the Sims Castaway, Bustin Out, etc.. more thematic than sandbox. Like I want to actually build up from nothing. I've never liked 'rags to riches' challenges though since it was so fake in my opinion. This new fabrication and everything makes it more of an actual game mechanic which gets me really interested in doing it.

I saw a player posted a bug report, and EA answered saying after it was tested, the balcony presented bugs, and that they tried some fixes but didn't work, so they decided to eliminate the possibility to edit it. I hope they keep trying and solve it with an update because this just feels unprofessional.
Really, I was one of the people that was bashing the pack after the trailer, and while I can now see my mistake and am looking forward to getting it at some point, there are plenty of people who have already brushed it off because of the trailer. I do think that the Country Livin’ leak had something to do with the massive backlash of the trailer, but it doesn’t take away from the fact that the initial marketing was pretty awful.
@@L-sillybrained It took more than 2 hours to go through the pack details in the livestream. Expecting "marketing people" to do that in a 1.5 minute or 2 minute trailer is unrealistic. Also, the one thing they probably have been working on for this pack during this pandemic was likely the trailer. So... I think we just need to give people a break honestly. And the people that raged on twitter and in comment sections need to honestly have a little humility for their clear overreaction.
They're much more commonly seen for sure. The downtown stuff was nice, but they were a bit large and cheap for being *downtown*.. I also love the fact we can upgrade these buildings with the plans. So in an actual playthrough you could start with the exterior that doesn't really look that great and actually help make it better over time. The fact that this pack has you actually impacting the world around you has me extremely excited. It's what I miss from the other Sims games - the way you'd actually see the world changing. I don't like just having pristine lots all the time. I also think the EA builds are extremely well done for this pack compared to all previous ones. Like the elderly couple have an amazing looking lot including a crane.. which I'd never have thought EA could build lol. Even the upgraded community spaces look great.
The hyper-modern furniture has always been such a struggle for the Sims. I feel like they’re always just a little too impractical to look cool. Like.... the accent window into the toilet bowl? Questionable. Like, they need some better real-life references for modern luxury styles
YES. i appreciate that they want to incorporate modern furniture into the game but i wouldn't call those bathroom pieces "modern" exactly. they just look like they would be found in a bad sci-fi movie or something.

I was inspired as well. I have twins that went off to uni together and one got a GF while there. Now that they are all done with Uni I split an apt into 2 smaller ones. Half for 1 twin and the other half for the other twin with his GF (soon wife??).

I have extreme heat exhaustion, to the point where I had to be taken to the hospital for fluids and get my daily medication from an iv because I couldn’t hold anything down. I cannot describe how uncomfortable and scared I feel right now, especially because of this pandemic(the hospital I’m in has ~80 active cases). Watching Lilsimsie and Plumbella is the only thing staving off my anxiety and distracting me right now.

I love the colors in this pack. The browns, greens and neutrals are just pleasing to my eyes. I love the wood paneling walls and the floors. It's just, ugh 😍😍

I have a feeling that Simoleans are an extremely inflated form of currency, so it almost doesn't matter that the price per week is 1200. This pack personally surprised me after so much shit we've got with other packs. They added lots of thing i just keep using over and over again like that vertical planter or those shelves, or the candle and furniture thingos were you can craft. Or the world that imo is so beautiful and you can actually make a change. I just fucking think it's beautiful

Vertical planters 😭😭😭❤❤❤ Honestly Eco Living is something ive wanted so much. I think it was Sims 3(?) that allowed you to compost and stuff which I LIVED for. So happy they've done this.

I really love these apartments! They seem so much more realistic to me. Can't wait to see what you do with them. 😊

I had to go through an rewatch this because I jumped into my game into this same lot, AND I COULDNT DO ANYTHING ON THE BALCONY!! Like honestly couldn’t place anything!! Idk maybe it’s a glitch?? But I had to come verify and I’m kind of annoyed

The food in my sims fridge also has stopped spoiling. So now I have forever food, and I noticed even with max handiness and tons of parts I can’t upgrade the dew collector or solar panels or any of the new objects. The option is just greyed out still

I saw a player posted a bug report, and EA answered saying after it was tested, the balcony presented bugs, and that they tried some fixes but didn't work, so they decided to eliminate the possibility to edit it. I hope they keep trying and solve it with an update because this just feels unprofessional.

I love the colors in this pack. The browns, greens and neutrals are just pleasing to my eyes. I love the wood paneling walls and the floors. It's just, ugh 😍😍

When they did the let's play I freaked, I'm so glad they're fixing some major issues finally and giving us a tie in expansion. I have a feeling that Simoleans are an extremely inflated form of currency, so it almost doesn't matter that the price per week is 1200. I mean think about it; after all, a single potato costs 10 Simoleans. Irl I could get a 10 pound bag of potatoes for $5. Soooooo i mean there's most definitely some sharp inflation going on here.

I would've used the blandco kitchen cabinets in all black they're very useful when you need something clean and neutral but I totally get if you find the black too dark or it's just not your taste just wanted to throw it out there! The apartment is awesome either way!!
This pack personally surprised me after so much shit we've got with other packs. They added lots of thing i just keep using over and over again like that vertical planter or those shelves, or the candle and furniture thingos were you can craft. Or the world that imo is so beautiful and you can actually make a change. I just fucking think it's beautiful
