Good video but Brayden Schenn, Logan Couture, Travis Konecny and Claude Giroux I would also add In my opinion.
Absolutely none of those guys would be on it.

What about Owen Power on the third pair ? Pretty sure he will continue to grow into a superstar.
A darkhorse as a goaltending option in 2 years could be Devon Levi. I feel like he has the ''it'' factor and I'd love to see him become a stud for the Sabres and Team Canada going forward.

I like what you did with the defence pairs. Makes sense. A lot can change from now til the tournament. Making a goalie really stands out and takes the #1 spot. Pretty stacked lineup tho.

He's very underrated. It seems that almost everyone underestimates him. Johnny didn't even get Top 20 Centres by NHL's own analysts. I just don't understand it.
Dark horse out there. True defensive forward. Adam Lowry whose a pain on penalty kill.
Roster seems a bit light up front, and lines while meshing skill seem to lack balance. If RNH isn't an L1 guy in Edmonton, he isn't one on the national team. Also never a fan of having all right or all left shots on a line. A clever coach can shut things like that down and stifle the offense.

Love that Zack Hyman made the team! He plays a valuable role and is underrated in my opinion.
Always an interesting exercise. As a Flyers fan it is a bracing reality that only Carter Hart is seen as worthy of being a reserve.
For fun you should make a 2nd canada team just see what that team would look like

I honestly like the roster you've put together here, I'm a little torn on the third defense pairing..obviously Hamilton and Doughty are elite level D Men, but I'm not sure you can leave Josh Morrissey of the roster the way he's been playing. I guess if you switch Hamilton and Morrissey in and out it might work. Overall, good job on predicting the roster and honestly I don't see how any other country could compete against Canada..maybe USA, maybe Russia, but idk man Canada is stacked with elite level talent.
My concern is with guys like Giroux and Burns (I know he'd be an extra). Both are way on the wrong side of 30. In fact you're looking at a couple of guys who'd be 40 or staring hard at 40. The goaltending is a giant question mark. Nobody inspires a great amount of confidence. Personally if that's the best they have i'd actually start Hart. He at least has international experience.
You're right about the goaltending though. If as an example, Russia was allowed in they could roll 4 deep in net. All better than the best Canada could offer.

Tough to predict a roster of players 2 years in advance of the games as that is like a lifetime in pro sports. I would say that the team Canada GM will probably not pick any age 35 plus players for the team, and you've got at least 4 or 5 on your squad. If you look back historically at other Canadian teams this preference holds true. Besides I think guys like Crosby and Marchand will be done with any international hockey so close to the end of their careers.

Only real issue I had with the list was RNH, and Hill as the starter. I also wouldn't have Bedard at this point on there. If you want to make the case that in 25 he will be ready, then you have to take the passage of time into consideration for other players too. The older ones in particular
Yes, you do. Doubt Marchand or Giroux are there in 2 seasons. Pietrangelo and Theodore should be there. Probably Power in 2 seasons. US will have a better roster.

Some of your choices will not be on a team that is chosen 2 years from now. Also McKinnon and McDavid should not be on the same line. These are 2 premier puck carriers. They need to be on separate lines to make each line stronger.

Goaltending is a weak spot for sure. Hopefully Devin Levi is as advertised and becomes elite quick. He would be at the top of my list if that happens. Hopefully Carter Hart can bounce back to being good. Canada hasnt produced great goaltending since the last wave of Roy, Brodeur, Luongo, Price, Fleury, etc. Overall, I like picks on this video. Canada has enough fire power to dominate. Just need someone to make timely saves. 🇨🇦

This might sound a bit crazy. But there was a dam good Rookie Goalie that could have been Rookie of the year last year and that being Stuart Skinner. If the Oilers do win the Cup this up coming season Skinner will be a big part of it . Time will tell .

I think it's difficult to predict some of these players because we don't know how players like Stamkos or even Crosby will be in 2 years. Things could be very different then.
