Great question. The system in the US is very unique, where the States decide if you are eligible or not (not the place where you had your training done or the type of course). For example, as an international dentist, you can complete a Specialty Program in Florida, but you are still not eligible to practice dentistry in Florida until you finish 2 years of a Graduate or Post-Graduate program in General Dentistry anywhere in the Country.

I was wondering why the different types of dentist do not specify AEGD/GPR by their name as it makes them harder to find! I was told by an exceptional DDS in the DC area to go and SPECIFICALLY SEE this type of generalist, BUT in a search you can't tell what you are finding! I am 32 and have such bad oral issues (was left in oral hell as a child!) how do you know what you're getting!?! I'm literally weeping writing this as there's no damn way and for almost 13 years due to my issues and being on medicaid and for part of it being a child (thankfully now I have Obamacare) I was drinking through straws and I have no BS way to use this advice! I have even been told by some in the field as the issue is hard to see as it is now and due to do no harm screw you we don't see it! Stay in pain on the left side permanently and only eat out of your right side while wanting permanently remove your mouth by your own two hands! 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
