Love the partnership and the energy and commitment. Wasn't their best dance though and I wasn't convinced that the music choice was smart.Anita's Paso is the benchmark in this series.
Georgia has had some dances which have been better than Anita's but Anita's best dance was her paso.

+Tony Morris I think this was actually better than Anita's. Anita's routine had a lot of drama, but Georgia did so much more although she looked a little unsteady at times.
+Talia Kinney I preferred Anita's by far...it's the best Paso Doble I've seen in a long time. Mind you Jay's was good too.

And Georgia is knocked off the top! To be fair, its not a bad performance. The content was there, but not so great execution. And the spanish lines needed for the perfect paso just weren't there (but I think the music and setting exaggerate that feature) although you could see her trying, just not doing. I hope she comes back stronger next week! As for bottom two, she may be in it, because of the massive knock of thrown off the top after two excellent performances. Fingers crossed she's not!
I thought it was refreshing to see someone else top of the leaderboard. But I'm surprised it wasn't Jay to be fair, I think his Tango owned Sat night.
Oh my! Well I will give them one thing it was very entertaining. I think more of my beef was with Giovanni in this number than with Georgia. I didn't care for the drums, those shoes dude SERIOUSLY?, and I think that this dance had too much PUNCH! They gave it a go but they sort of annihilated the Paso instead of danced it. The power of the song I think knocked them off a bit at one point. Georgia's intro I really liked. It showed character but that was from the waist up, from the waist down it was kinda O_O. Her knees buckled toward each other at the :43 mark. Also at the 1:00 mark after the climactic drag (which I was puzzled by) she blanked for a split second you can see it in her face. Now I am in the minority, I actually like the rock, pop, ballads, etc for Ballroom dancing. It forces the pros to get creative instead of doing the same thing over and over. The ending wasn't my cup of tea either I wish they could have ended it together instead of Georgia on the floor and Giovanni doing.......whatever he was doing. So I guess it's an 8 from me.

Strange, all the Paso elements were there. But the execution from Georgia was hit and miss. Maybe too many Flemencos scattered throughout the routine. And you can see she's really trying to finish those Spanish lines with those characteristic hand gestures, but it wasn't that good. This week feels like a downward regression from the highs in Blackpool Week prior. I love team GG, but this is at best an eight dance from me as well. The rock music is definitely no-no. Made them go for aggression (not right) rather than evoking an arrogance (required) for this dance...
She's trying really hard but you're right that she ends up looking too aggressive. The judges scored her 8 8 8 9. I think Team GG will make it to the final but this was not one of their best.
Yep I agree the choreography was a bit mash. Oh well Giovani has been brilliant and took many gambles so far. Just this one did not work out.

Probably would've been a good dance given traditional music... but it wasn't... so we got this... :/ the Rock theme seemed to suit Giovanni, but he should've considered the fact that it did not suit Georgia at all. I sure hope they bring in someone different next year.

This dance for me was a bit too over the top and aggressive, although I think it was amazing dance, it was just a bit too much for me, Giovanni looks like he is really angry with Georgia at the end of the dance, I agree with Len completely when he said it was too aggressive, I think both Georgia and Giovanni did amazing on this dance anyway, 7/10
I went out for dinner with Georgia and Giovanna last night. I asked him who was paying. He said Georgia may foot the bill. =(((

+bolivood2012 Oh for goodness sake...it was a bit of cheeky fun. He and Gleb started together and are good friends, as are Anita and Georgia. Giovanni and Anita travelled down from Blackpool together...I'm sure they would have had a good giggle about it afterwards.

+bolivood2012 Fair enough. And apologies if I came over short. Its just that knowing the two couples are paricularly close (and that Georgia and Anita were having a laugh about the 'stay' thing only the night before) not only do I think it wasn't done with any bad intention, but the complete opposite - deliberately done because they are friends - affectionate teasing that they could laugh about after the show. They are good friends and get on great with each other - in that context, being nasty or mean to them seems the last reason he would do it. But of course we're all free to view it as we see fit.
